Further, I attempted to look at the home page and was greeted by:

Whatever.

And here's more from dejanews. Charles posted sometime in the last year (I

I guess it's clear. This company is sooooo good it was doing well at least

Given the possibility that the tax ID stamp was filed for before the

Eh, this happens for a lot of legitimate reasons. Most notably if
you're moving your domain name from under a provider to your own web
servers (with your own IP domain). Charles may want to contact
Concentric, however, and have them change their message. If I were
doing background on a potential services provider, this might turn me
off cold (potential failure to pay his own suppliers and what not could
lead to subcontractors placing liens on me as the customer) if I came
across it accidentally.
I think that is time to close this issue once and forever, I don't care
what you guys believe, all I know is that incorrect statments were made
about my professionalism and my company. It was funny seeing everybody
using all type of net resources to find out my address and anyway it was
reported incorrectly.
Life is full of complications.... why adding such aggravations....

The job offer was legit. I can't pay that much internally...typically I

provide sufficient opportunity and scope of responsibility to someone
with your credentialling. I do have a very close friend looking for a
partner in his software development business because he's finding that
with Oracle and other modern data warehousing technologies, the lines
between networking and software development have disappeared...and to
remain competitive, he's looking for someone with a hell of a lot of
networking experience and industry credibility.

I'm really getting tired of all the postings about Charles A.
Ambrosecchia. Why don't we just ignore him--without all the attention,
he will probably go away.
All the listings of possessions bring to mind a bumper sticker that I
saw a couple of years ago. I don't think that the sticker was on a
Mercedes (maybe a VW beetle?). It said, "He Who Dies With The Most Toys
Is Still Dead."
Let's get back to the task of sharing MBZ wisdom and stop messing with
people who want to show off their toys and their achievements.

Looks like Microsoft Outlook Express to me... Also, with Compaq all
over the place, I would bet he has a new Compaq Persario. They have a
tendency to put "Compaq" everywhere they can in the consumer line... If
you look at the posting path, or do a traceroute, you can see he hangs one
hop off MCI using a ISP called Lufkin-Conroe Communications. Knowing that
is just north of Houston, I would bet he picked up his system at Compaq
Works, the Compaq factory outlet in north Houston. The last bit is just a
guess...
So, why did I post all this in a Mercedes base? To make the point that
if you want to brag about your network prowess, be ready to back it up.
The top people in the industry won't usually show it here. They will be in
comp.os.* or comp.dcom.* or even microsoft.public.*, however. Feel free
to drop by.
And, if you are wondering how you made yourself a target; You were quite
abrasive, a bit arrogant, and you claims were inconsistent with the
knowledge you displayed here. <The former post, and your web page...> This
all adds up to somewhere between amusing distraction, and killfile fodder.
The only reason that I haven't tossed my hat in before now, is that you
have been correct on your Mercedes advice. Some of the things you have
said you could only know from actually doing that repair. I would bet the
facts of you present situation are close to what you have said, but a bit
exaggerated... But, who cares? Drive a new s600 or an on 240D... This is

It's amazing to me that all these companies (Mercedes included) are
scrambling to engineer high-MPG cars on the order of the late generation
Metro, and coming out with basically match-box-cars with motors, that
actually aren't as practical as the Metro! As much as I hate to admit
it, I think Suzuki actually was on to something...just a few years too
early! I just wish they had made a lawn-mower attachment so I could
free up the space in my garage occupied by the lawn mower...
But I digress.
As for a recommendation of it, I'm not qualified. It's the wife's car

maybe once a year. My wife has been reluctant to discuss its

----------> Anyone could have done the same thing...doubt Charles could or

as that..
I was gonna drop this whole thing but a post in sci.skeptic hit so hard I
was surprised it wasn't felt up in the alt hierarchy. For those who think
this is a waste of time and energy, I'm sorry for taking your time, but for
the luvva Mike this guy can't even keep his own lies straight! I'll repeat
what I said earlier; namely that I don't have any problem believing that he
has access to or owns these cars, though not via running a successful
business doing whatever it is that MasterNET is supposed to do. The thing
is, if you re-read these threads at even a cursory level, it's just
remarkable how he seems to pyramid one explanation on top of another. My
second post's criticism on this whole thing concerned itself chiefly with
the date, time, and method of MasterNET's web page. It was created the
*same* day as Charles referred those of us in this group to it! Despite
several references to this remarkable coincidence it was left orphaned
amidst a sea of justifications by CAA, even though I (and others) most
pointedly found it suspicious.
In another post I referenced a Dejanews post where CAA claimed in 1997
('96 at the earliest) he was claiming that MasterNET was ten years old! In
this NG (January '98) he said he "founded it two years ago with a credit
card!" The magical www page/site said '92! Now just who in the hell big
shot business guy have you ever heard of who didn't remember clearly when
they started the business that made it big for them? Or even wannabe
bigshot business guy?
And what of that brushoff he gave another poster about not remembering
clearly when he bought the cars he had. He said something vague about
confusing the years he bought and sold them. Yet he refers to himself as a
collector! Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I submit to you that the one
common bond amongst collectors of anything is that they remember
*everything* about the objects of their obsession. They would certainly
know the freaking model year of the cars they supposedly loved. If I had
ten gajillion dollars I would collect vintage wines from all over the
world, and I guarantee I would recite to you every single thing about those
wines until you swore to yourself you would never talk about wines again!
And I for sure would know the vintages.
And before I paste in the little postlet that got me started on this
whole thing again, I'd like to point out that TAX ID #'s in Colorado cost a
whopping $62 (local fees inclusive) or so five years ago, when I last had
oppurtunity to check. So how much you figure they cost in '86 or '95 or '92
or whenever the hell in New York State? A grand? Two? At most? Like that
proves a goddamm thing.

What a gorgeous and informative -- not to mention professional --
website! I'm STILL trembling with excitement -- the words...the
picture...the, uh, leftover HTML tags...the, ummm, poor grammar.
Now, Chucko -- let me ask you some questions. I'm sure you'll be more
than happy to answer them. First, though, let me remind you of an old
adage I once read:
"A suggestion: if you think that your [sic] are so smart by forging the
reply to and from field of you [sic] e-mail client remember that the
sending SMTP server will still post your message and track you down was
[sic] easy..."
I hope you'll remember that suggestion the next time you post your
drivel to me with your childish attempts at covering your tracks (You
wrote in this NG: "At least I use my REAL name without problems....not
Compaq... Charles..." Interesting that that particular message of yours
was from "CAA" <NO SPAM@NO SPAM.COM> -- Is *that* you're real name? It's
the same one you used when you wrote to me.)
While we're on that subject, since Concentric is also my ISP, I know
exactly how much time, money, and effort you put into that fabulous
website. As cris.com subscribers, we all get 5Mb free space (you've got
a lot of space left to fill, BTW -- better find someone who can code
HTML AND spell), I figure the photo took 5 minutes in some drugstore
booth, and the amount of effort is obvious. So -- no-cost site, 5-minute
photo, 15 minutes of amateur hand-coding, and zero effort. That spells
Fortune 500 to me!!
I assume one of these addresses used to be yours (all very "tony", I'm
*so* sure)
C Ambrosecchia

(914)939-0322
C Ambrosecchia
760 Wilcox Av
Bronx,NY 10465-1729
(718)829-0736
And now we hear:
"Actually that was my previous address, now the Zip is 06830" What
happened? Mom and Dad boot you out?
So now you live in even tonier (yeah, right) Greenwich, CT.
Coincidentally, I live in CT, not far from you. Small world. It must be
a cast-iron bitch of a commute to Dallas, Texas every day -- since
that's the only place in the entire United States that has ANY business
named MasterNET or Master Net, or MasterNET, Inc., or any of a couple
dozen permutations of the name I tried. I'm sure, when I contact them
tomorrow, MasterNET in Dallas will be delighted to find they have a
previously-unknown branch in Greenwich, CT. I *could* be wrong, but I
think their copyright on the name may just pre-date your glorious
arrival in beautiful Port Chester, NY. Oh, and about MasterNET in Port
Chester:
Big Yellow says:
<<Business : MasterNET
State(s) : New York
City : Port Chester
We're sorry ...
We found 0 business listings that match your search. Please try
again.>>
Same result for Greenwich, CT, of course. Hoover's, the pre-eminent
business guide in the US, recognized by every legitimate firm in the
world as the 'bible" when it comes to business information, has never
heard of you or your company.
If you're doing business without a license, in either New York State or
Connecticut (indeed, in any state), you're breaking the law. I have a
friend in the State Revenue Office who can easily discover whether or
not you have a valid tax number -- they really enjoy finding people who
are beating the tax code...same in New York.
Now for the questions. These selections are taken from your blurb on
MasterNET, Inc.'s High-Tech website:
"...MasterNET has been a solution provider for many Fortune 500
companies and Government agencies in Europe"
Name one.
"Today, MasterNET Inc. is a leading solution provider to many fortune
[sic] 1000 companies in the USA."
Name one.
You'd better get some professional help -- pathological liars can be
treated quite effectively these days.
As for the rest of you, with your: "Gotta give this Ambrosecchia guy
extra points for at least making this attempt at correcting his
lies....." and "To Mr. Ambroscchia's [sic] credit, he seems to live in
zip code 10573, a very tony area of New York.":
This is not just a kid with a need to pump himself up with grandiose
fantasy, this is a human being who needs help, and needs to be steered
off this dangerous path before he REALLY messes up. Humoring him just
feeds the problem.

Incidentally, Charles answers his own 888 business telephone...quite
impressive. Of course that could be because the number he lists on his
business web site is actually his home phone number, which is at a
different address entirely (315 King St) from his business address (PO
Box 271), which is a post office box. Boy, talk about putting your
employees in tiny cubicles all day...try being productive working in a
post office box! Barely enough room for a tiny plant and one of those
hand-held computers, I dare say! Tough running a multi-quadrillion
dollar multi-national conglomerate out of a Post Office box these days,
isn't it?
(Oh, that info is from www.anywho.com...a handy reverse directory
provider...and it's public info, so don't have out to me about posting
your home address.)
Boy, you got one up on me, though. When I started my networking
consulting business out of a post box, I didn't make enough for a used
honda scooter, let along an F40! I'm impressed...
A tip, though...next time use Mail Boxes Etcetera. That way, you get a
real street address instead of a PO Box number. For some silly reason,
a bunch of shipping companies and most reputable software/hardware
manufacturers patently refuse to deliver to PO boxes. I remember that
made it real tough for me to do business...since I couldn't seem to get
anyone to deliver the NIC cards, hubs, PC's, routers, software, etc to
me so I could install them for my customers. Pissed off a bunch of
customers that way, I did.
And Charles, you really should put your company name in the Yellow Pages
for Port Chester, NY...you'll get a lot more business that way.
Especially considering a dozen or so competitors are already listed
there. You might make sure you're listed with 800-555-1212 under
MasterNet as well, since they don't seem to know about you. I contact a
lot of businesses this way. Always good for business when people are
able to actually, you know, find you.
And you almost had me with that scanned picture of your key ring...too
bad the attachment didn't come through (*ahem*)
And people, according to his bio, he doesn't have MBA's. He has two
masters', in Industrial Management and Computer Science. Let's be
precise here.
Even given that one can complete a full technical undergrad and two
Masters' in, let's be generous, 6 years (took me 5.5 for one technical
undergrad and an MBA while working full time...so this seems more than a
fair estimate to me)...that makes him 18 when he started.
Reasonable...as long as you're not supporting a racing career for nearly
every Eurpopean auto maker, and trying to keep a dozen or so businesses
running while doing it. Not to mention finding time to date and get
married.
I can easily believe the fickle hand of fate can lavish untold wealth on
any poor sot lucky enough to pick the proper numbers or be born to
fortune, but time is an invariant that tells the truth of Mr.
Ambrosecchia's yarn. No amount of money can buy you a 34 year olds'
life a decade early.
If anybody really wants to verify this rot, do a verification of
credentials from the Zurich Polytechnic or MIT. Or check for tax ID
numbers on a couple of his "companies". Or pretend to employ his
services and request business and/or bank references. That should sort
it out. Or, check with the auto companies he claims to have served and
see if they have any info on him...that could be a hoot. I'd do it
myself, but alas, I'm already convinced.
Or Charles, how about firing up the old scanner and posting up copies of
your diplomas, ECNE, MCSE, and vendor certifications. C'Mon man, the
gauntlet has been dropped...honor demands you flood us with JPG's that
will turn our own skepticism around and ram it down our own throats!
C'mon, I haven't eaten crow in several days...make me pay! Do it! Do
it!
Charles (may I call you Charles?), if you're rich, great. If you have a
bunch of nice cars that daddy bought you (whatever his occupation and
employer may be), great. But why not just present it that way!
Everyone will love you just the same if you're merely a wealthy
automobile nut (or even if you're just a collector of discarded car
keys), and not God Incarnate (I did see that position on your bio,
didn't I?) Nothing ticks me off more than someone putting on airs to
try to get people to like them...very childish.
Incidentally, if you do have all the credentials and certifications on
your bio, and can prove it, I'll pay you $140k/year + bonus + stock
options + relocation to come work for me...no hard feelings about the
God Incarnate crack...I can always use a good Networking Guru that can
talk cars in the slow moments...
In any event, please come on over to the Porsche and Lotus groups...it's
getting a little stuffy in there, what with it being the off season for
ill-behaved rear-wheel drive supercars and all, and we could use the
entertainment.
This is the fellow with the 98 E300D turbo. also the REAL '96 S500 (yes I
know its 2 years old..YIKES the horror)......Yes, you do know of what you

(your claim NOT mine) you have constantly been unable to be consitant (with the
IMPORTANT details) that most would know about their own lives and their own

Dude! You're missing a couple things. Like your boat and your wife.
Now I can see misplacing a boat (a little alcohol, a carelessly tossed
