Get a private number plate?

Hi,

I am waiting for my SLK to arrive (next week hopefully) after being
fitted with the AMG bodykit etc. The car is an R reg, and has cost
£36k, 9000k miles on the clock. All in all the car is good. However,
I have become somewhat entranced by the infusion of letters over the
past 12 months, and in Reg years the R reg is actually four years ago,
when in reality it came out last year.

I am thinking of putting a private reg plate on the car to mask the
reg, but I cannot make my decision. I don't care what the plate is as
long as the year isn't intelligable.

Am I being stupid and should I just forget this idea?

Any advice welcome.

Stop being a puff. You don't need a private plate when you have a Merc.
The only plates that are worth having cost more than the car.
