The seat swab on my MB C Class continually suffers from becoming detached
from the seat frame on one side. My dealer appears unable to fix the problem
apart from replacing it in the groove in the frame and assuring me that that
"it is fixed this time for sure".

Has any one else experienced problems in this area ?. There appears to
be no method of securing the fabric in the groove other than the natural
tensioning of the seat spring in the 'unloaded' condition. I am not
overweight (160 Lbs) . However within a few day of replacement it 'pops
out' and the seat becomes lopsided and uncomfortable. I believe this COULD
BE A SAFETY problem !.

The dealer claims that the MB Tex fabric and it's card stiffner is a
'snug fit' in the frame and no one else has a problem !. I am becoming
extremely upset that an apparent design fault is being ignored.

Feed back on any similar failures, and eventual fixes or suggestions
would be appreciated.

Dave, I have seen this on seat backs before, but it usually stays put after
it is pushed in. I have seen one MB dealer mechanic replace the siffener
material with a thicker piece. It seemed to work well. Peter
