Yes Ralph I have but I don't think that the person that made this original
request/ post did! Anyway, they told us in Audio School that if you use it
professionally you NEED TO PAY! Impling that anyone that used Pirated software
professioanlly was 1. a LOSER! and 2. Not worth doing business with in the
first place since they most likely can't be trusted!

I don't know seems like everyone here would basically agree???

Well, a pirated software user is a thief.... Period, end of discussion.
And, if I (we) had to pay for it, why should someone else not have to??
Another part of this is how it affects the software company (which in
turn affects the end users). With pirating, they lose money... Which means
they either go out of business (small company and/or large piracy rate) or
jack up the price to cover their loss......

Yes. Now I hope everyone else agrees and remembers this when I begin
selling my custom live-sound business management software here (online) this
winter.

Yes, I create each copy's serial number by sequentially appending the
numbers from the five $100 bills you send me. ::)) <- blurred vision

Actually, Mr. Mamma, the a.s.s.u.m.p.t.i.o.n.s. go all around...Big swirly

anyway.
Who's to say that Greg is the poster's real name? Who's to say that someone
isn't trying to 'frame' Greg?

Come on...

Its the point. This is not some "name brand" software company. They a very
nice product that they put a lot of work into. Stealing from them only hurts
the audio community.

Man, I guess people on this NG have a difficult time with reading
comprehension.
My response was SPECIFICALLY regarding Mr. Mamma's post on the
arrogance/ignorance of the thread originator using their 'real name'..This
was NOT a statement that pirated software was *right* or *wrong*.

Go back and read the posts.

and not really even arrogance per se. Honestly, i've not been reading
this group for long but the info here is quite good and generally OT
as far as i can tell...however, asking for a serial number, absolutely
irregardless of the morality, is certainly out of place at the very
least on a group that is primarily concerned with DISCUSSION and the
dissemination of information. If such a post belongs ANYwhere (and i
seriously doubt that it does), it's on a binaries group. It's
interesting that this isn't a cross-post...and came from an outlook
express newsreader. I don't think there's any framing going on
here...this guy's just a newbie :)
