Has anyone here used Behringer digital mixers?

If so, any thoughts, opinions, impressions? I'm looking to go digital
for a club band currently using 24 inputs on an analog system.
I see Behringer's literature touts quality mic pre's/converters
designed by Midas, and FX modeled after Lexicon's PCM70. I'm trying
to decide between Behringer or Soundcraft's si series stuff.

The general consensus is that there's nothing that can touch it in it's price range as far as features and performance. Nothing. It's still relatively new so reliability is the big question mark. But the Behringer folks, including Uli Behringer himself have been all over some of the audio message boards to answer questions and deal with support issues like no large scale live audio manufacturer I've ever seen. I don't own one myself, but it's remarkable the way Behringer is putting a shit ton of resources behind this product.

It's the real deal, for sure, and a bit of a gamble for the company. Not
sure whether it's rider-acceptable, and for low cost 32x board with a remote
head unit, etc. it needs to be.
Personally I'm looking forward to the A&H QU-16, for the role of basic band
mixer. Less inputs, but a nice conbination of features including recording
direct to USB device.

From what I can see the X32 will only record a stereo mix directly to USB -
anything more needs a DAW.
The QU-16 does all 16 channels plus a stereo mix to a USB drive, and you can
play back and mix the tracks, without a DAW. That's an important feature to
me because I want to start recording *every* performance, and that means it
has to be fast and easy. If it records the raw tracks it would be even
better, because we can go back later and try out ideas for the mix that we
don't have time to do on stage.
Anyway - they are apples and oranges.
