opinions on sennheiser E845
kenwood
be used for live vocals with a classic rock garage band.
Any suggestions on other models in this price range? (below $200)

There are a LOT of good, even GREAT, mics in the <$200 range. So many, that
it would be stupid of me to try to list them all for I'd be sure to miss
some, and piss people off.
So..
I will comment on the E845 microphone.
There are two 'N.'s...There's the corporate N., who is guest engineer and
works on OTHER people's rigs...
Then there's the Rig Owner 'N.' who owns and operates a mid size P.A for
hire....
I own quite a few E845.
They are my primary vocal microphone.
Most of the Evolution Series by Sennheiser represents Very High Quality at
Very Reasonable Prices...

Anyone who comes here looking for acceptance really needs to get a
life. If this is your last refuge in an attempt to deal with this big
bad world, then I am afraid all is lost. Sound Engineers are some the
most intense, picky, driven, determined, take no prisoners, at times
neurotic, cranky from lack of sleep, pissed at the world, very
independant, stubborn, opinionated individuals that you would ever
want to meet. I am proud to say, I consider myself part of the
brotherhood. I came here several months ago to learn from
professionals and to network. I also brought a little bit of knowledge
to the table but even a respectful newbie would be welcome here if
their intentions were 'honest'.
You have no place here because it is obvious to the regulars that you
have no knowledge, no valuable input(no matter how minute), no desire
to gain knowledge from serious industry pro's and no respect for
anyone including yourself. Your existence here is simply to annoy.
As for George G., you are not even in the same league, so go wack your
little pud and leave GG alone! You dont have to kiss up to George in
order to be accepted here. What you need is some respect for others in
general. If George was an idiot, piece of shit, nudnik like you

You can get E845 for less than $100.
I pay about $100 for my E865 (worth checking into)
Audix, Audio Technica and AKG all make excellant condensor mics in the
'just' under $200 range.
The Audix OM5, OM6, or OM7 are EXCELLANT dynamic mics in the <$200 range.
They would give you some VERY high gain before feedback..
The key is, you have to know where/how to shop.
