Does anyone know if this spot monitor is designed for 4 ohm or 8 ohm
speakers, and which replacement speakers work well with it? The label
fell off my second-hand one. Thanks!

In article <1d0e5136.02030...@posting.google.com>,

Measure the DC resistance across the speaker. It will be about 75% of the
impedance at 1KC.

Thanks Scott, the 75% does prove correct in determining a speaker's
impedance, but I'm wondering what the *amplifier* of the MA-15A is
rated to cohabit with, impedance-wise. One could probably put any old
speaker in there and get *some* output, but the ideal impedance (or
the danger in blowing a speaker if less than the ideal) was my
question... The speaker that's now in there is not the original.
