I am trying to find a microphone Capsule ( mic head, the actual working part
of the mic, as in mic element, diaphram, transducer...etc...) to work with
an older Shure wireless unit... This Shure wireless unit model name is L-4
and is from the mid 90's. It is a hand held unit and It had a SM-58 head in
it previously....
I am looking to spend very little money because the unit is not worth
anything and I need just for a backup to a newer headset unit...
Usually it is best just to ship it to Shure. They refurb at a really good
price.
We've got some L4 stuff laying around the shop. I don't know what's
there, but you can email the big kahuna, riley...@espsound.com if
you're interested.
Is it the type where the upper half of a 58 just screws on to the RF unit?
If so, just unscrew one from another 58, unsolder the wires and mate the
unit to your wireless body. Otherwise, Shure's real good about supplying
replacement parts.

I fear this guy is looking for a ten dollar solution........
Even George's used 58's are probably more than his budget.
You have to pay to play.
