Does anyone know of an online source for a circuit diagram?
Many thanks!
John
I seriously doubt it- they are not popular enough.
Peavey tech support will prolly email it to you. They are pretty good at
customer service.
Crossovers rarely die. Usually it's the bulbs for HF protection..if those
have them. Or a connector.

And don't replace the bulbs with aluminium foil as I've seen done. The bulbs
are often unusual types but I've tracked down most that are popularly used.

** Passive x-overs in PA and monitor boxes are something I deal with quite
a lot. Commonly, components ( ie caps, inductors and power resistors ) come
loose from the PCBs and disconnect themselves, the heaviest ones most
likely first.
All you need to find THAT sort of trouble is good light and sharp eyes -
plus a soldering iron with a bit of grunt and some silicone adhesive -
the non acid cure kind PLEEASE !!
Obviously YOU have done no investigation at all.
Don't come back till you HAVE !!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply - I've had a quick look at the board - one of the caps
is fried.... it's the older version before they add the bulb protection
unfortunately.
There is nothing in the way of labelling so if I had access to the diagram I
could get a part, fix it and he could use them tonight...
Assuming I don't get any further I'll ring peavey tomorrow and see what they
can email me.
Cheers
John
Way back we had fuses in our houses instead of breakers...people found out
they could put a penny behind a blown fuse and get power back...and lost
their house.

I still have some fuse wire. I can't recall whenever I've needed to use any
though.

Nothing at all ? Do you have another one you can compare with because that'll be
likely to blow soon too. Sounds like it must be one of those ghastly 'bi-polar'
electrolytics.

I gather they're supposed to be helpful.

That stuff was more popular in Rightpondia I believe.
Fuses here were by and large in glass or screw in "plug" type.
Fusible links found favor in cars. Just a length of insulated fuse wire. The
idea was it would go out and the average nebbish would have to pay a
mechanic.
