Do you have any experience with the Community RS 220?

What about their effective performance?

Do you think that it may be used suspendend on a truss at about 5 meters
high, leaving the sub on the floor?
Do you think that its subwoofer VBS may be the only choice? If so, what
may be expected the best crossover frequency?

If a central single cluster has to be istalled on the truss, do you
think that the Community VBS112 sub must be used between the tho RS220?

The RS220 has 4 hanging points on top and bottom. Do you think that a
better rigging hardware as the ATM 1X2 must be used?

Thank you for all your inputs

Regards

You should pay a visit to the RoadDog live webboard at

http://www.best.com/~roaddog/live_audio/

A lot of high-end sound company folks hang out there, and some of them
probably have experience with the units you're asking about. I also
know that there is at least 1 Community factory rep there as well

The 220s are a great box for the money. They don't have a lot of low end
grunt, but they do throw pretty well. The midrange compression driver
running passively from 500HZ to 3kHz gives the box a lot of mid--which is
great for vocal or spoken word reinforcement. The box is quite popular in
churches and theaters. I have used the stock flyware with no problems, but
if it is a commercial rig I would get the ATM stuff. The VBS212 or 112 are
not my favorite sub. In fact, I have purposefully chosen not to use them.
pretty much anything would do better in my opinion, and I typically am in
favor of the Community stuff.

whether or not the 220s would be adequate depends on how far you want them
to throw, the room and the application. with that information I could
proceed to give you a suggestion for a sub box and crossover point. Also,
if you don't have the boxes I know someone with 36 of them for sale.
