If you are talking in/near Philadelphia, I'd recommend Starlite Productions
in Cherry Hill, NJ 1-856-849-9000 or www.starlite.com. For audio ask for Gus
Gomez, Stage/Theatre lighting ask for Bob Wolfe and Video, ask for Bill
Barnes.

I took a peek at your schedule on your website... Canandaigua is
located outside of Rochester. So, there's two shows in our area.

Thanks, George - I appreciate it!
I am in Syracuse( ahour from rochester) and my operation is between 1/4
to 1/3 the size of the guy Mike works for.
George
Crap, unless you just don't have very much stuff, he does..
Adair
where does ths come from?
Mike is a friend of mine and I have seen some of his rig and talked to
him about the rest
I think I am able to estimate the capabilities of our respective
inventories
the company Mike works for operates regularly a whole level up from the
market I serve
of cousre with my contacts I can manifest about any size show but my
main market is 3000 seat and under theater shows right down to kids
gymanastic meets and elementrary school plays
my biggest show has been about 20,000
George
George doesn't have crap. He has a very decent rig and does a great
job.
Where we differ from George in mainly in staging and roofs. We
currently have two Thomas 40x40 roof systems (1 - four tower and 1 - six
tower), each with 120K of lighting and 2000 square feet of stage.

I have to agree in this one, I do a lot of corporate work also.
Granted the rock glam aint there, but it pays better and is easier in
the back than a rock gig.
George, I honestly think you could make more than 5 bills doing this.
I can supply 2 mackie SRM450, a wireless, a small mixer and cd player
for 24 hours unattended. Get it there in a car set it up and tear it
down and walk with a grand. Dude, I'm in freaking Illinois, not NY.
Standard of living here is probably a tach lower than yours. But on
the other hand this is a very large corporate client and I take care
of them. Did the trade show touring thing for a while, talk about easy
money. But, I still go back to the rock for thrills. Rock for me is
like fishing for some people, gets the tension out!
Chad
Good Man! You gotta take care of the ones that take care of you!

Krikey, you yanks have it easy. All I get is 'DJ's v the limiter' and
6am finishes for very little thanks...... Maybe it's time I changed
the clientelle !!

Damn I've done alot of raves! A laptop with a DVD player and a set of
Sony V700's will save your sanity. The raves are OK it's the gun
yeilding hip-hop shows that make me want to invest in some Kevlar!
Pill heads never fight!
But I really can't say squat, I AM a former DJ (ahem, turntablist).
Every now and then I come out of my hole and hit it again. You
sohould see the PA company guys face when I ask for a sound check,
have him stare at the limiters, I run the system up and tell him to
flash his mag at me when I hit limit, then tell him he will never see
them again during my set, AND DONT HIT THEM!
Have you ever seen that!?!?
Chad
I call bullshit. You can't possibly be a DJ, cause you know what the word
"limiter" means. Only DJ's who return a blank stare upon the mention of
that word are allowed to wear the 'DJ' button. ;-)
You're gonna have to re-label yourself. Any takers for Chad's new title?
Mixmaster C?
Balls to tha Wahls?
Soundin' a Poundin' ?
