Well, could be, but does anyone know a cheaper place? Without "spam"
connections? MiniDisco still has it up around $369 or so, and the new guy in
Singapore (he's on minidisc.org) charges (US)$290 plus $20 shipping plus
whatever your bank charges for a money order in - get this - Singapore money
(can you see your local bank clerk choke on that one?).

When asked re. US customs, he said he'd help by lowballing the amount on the
paperwork and declaring it as a gift when shipping it. But if you've prepaid
and it gets lost or singled out for a query, how are you going to explain that
the replacement value is not really the lowball figure and it wasn't really a
gift?

So the "spam" price below doesn't look too bad, spam or no spam. My searches on
a ton of sites and search engines brought up nothing like this, so I'm giving
it a halfhearted try...

Cheers

Yeah, $287 was the opening bid - someone is doing a bit of bidness there. Six
days to go, doesn't sound like a bona fide auction to me. Ah well.
Cheers

Yeah! In the UK you can get it for £199.95 delivered (UK mainland) from
http://www.superfi.co.uk (199 is lower than 287 isn't it?!)
We've even got some blue ones in stock at the moment!

Now, that's spam!
