Hi again. <Newbie disclaimer>

TFM for my MZ-R700 says the output impedance is 16 ohms. I have a set of ear
buds that are rated at 32ohms. What does this matter? Better/worser sound
quality? Difference in battery life? I know this is a pretty basic
audiophile question but I'm getting nowhere searching audiophile sites.

Please reply direct since my newsserver is pretty lossy.

Thank you,
K-Holio

Short answer - it really doesn't make much difference. The output
impedence rating is stated so that its lower limit isn't exceeded. If
you were to use 8 ohm headphones, you might experience clipping and
distortion.
