I disassembled an old usb webcam & removed the electret mic element. I
then soldered shielded phono cable in it's place & reassembled the
webcam. I can now experiment with various electret elements & have had
good results. My only
problem is the mic gain,(volume) is too high. Is it feasable to solder
a resistor or variable pot to one of the mic element leads? Which mic
lead & value of resistor/pot should i use? Thanks.
