Hello, I have an old microphone (possibly from the 70's) with
absolutely no markings on it. I would appreciate if by any chance you
happen to know it's manufacturer / model no.
Here are some pics. that I took:

I can't tell you who made it, but I can tell you what it is. It is a cheap
crystal microphone made to accompany a Japanese tape recorder from the 1950's
or possibly the early sixties. Quality wise, it is little better than a
telephone, and was designed primarily to capture voice. It's frequency
response is likely on the order of about 150 Hz to about 6 KHz. Does it still
work? Most of them don't . The Rochelle salt they use as a crystal material
deteriorates after a while because its very hydroscopic.

Amazingly, yes, it still does. As for the quality, indeed it sucks.
But I was planning on using it as prop for a 70's style advert.
photoshoot. It looks on the set and was quite cheap. Again, thank you
for setting the time period.
