First of all, I have to say that I love the sound of electrostatic speakers. I've owned a pair of Acoustat Model 3's (full range,
non-hybrid, medallion transformers) since 1985. They never cease to amaze me. Anyway, I am very curious as to who designed the
Acoustat 2+2 Series II, Model 3, and Model 8. Not only the panels, but the electronics for the transformers. I would appreciate
any information on the history of Acoustat. I know they were bought by Hafler, then Hafler was bought by Rockford Fosgate. I also
know that Hafler uses Acoustat's trans-Nova design in their current line of professional amplifiers. I saw in a classified ad
recently the name Jim Strickland mentioned as designing Acoustat's TNP pre-amp. Is this the engineer that designed Acoustat's
speakers as well? Is this guy still alive and working in the audio business?
Thank you.

Your welcome.
I have a scanned copy of an Acoustat manual on my web page. Not sure
if it matches your model, but hey, ...
