I have a new Creative X-Fi Platinum sound card that can decode DTS. I
also have ANALOG 5.1 speakers. Is it possible for me to play DTS
music on my computer? When I play a DTS .wav file inside foobar2000
(which apparently supports DTS) all I get is static. Do I have to
burn the audio first? If so how?

I'm looking at a pdf straight from the dts.com website:

Playing DTS on Your Personal Computer
You can use either a hardware-based or software-based configuration
to enable your computer to playback a DTS soundtrack.

Software Solution:
1.) PC with DVD ROM player
2.) Software based DTS decoder such as WinDVD or Power DVD
3.) Soundcard – output can be multi-channel or 2 channel (down mix)
4.) External PC speakers or 6-channel input on audio/video receiver
(only with multichannel sound card)

I have everything that's listed. How do I get it to work?

Ok now I know it works... I downloaded the Metallica - Black album in
DTS which comes in .mds/.mdf format and all I did was mount it and it
worked.

The question is now, how to I burn my own dts audio disc from a .wav
file?

The Easiest way to play on your pc is to use vlc media player free
download), to burn to disc just use nero but you will need either a 5.1
enabled dvd player or an amp which will decode dts

As the meercat says............simples
