What is considered among the best available large
displacement ATVs for off road/general yard duty, etc? I'm
thinking of plowing the driveway in the winter, towing yard
stuff around and having some fun in my down time.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

My first ATV was a Suzuki King Quad, but it's not rea sporty for the fun
stuff. Crawls rocks like nothing else, though.

A Yamaha Wolverine is a good, strong sport/ute, and it's doen all the
tasks my KQ did but is far more sporty on trails and such. But for
plowing? I think maybe a 500cc on up wheeler.

I have a '99 kodiak that can't be stopped when plowing. I didn't even
use chains this past winter and we had WAY more snow that usual. I
was plowing at least once a week, sometimes through 3 foot or higher
stuff. 3 100' drivways and one long access road (500').

Well, at least a dozen different answers is a dozen places
to start. :)

Any review sites out there?

I agree 100% I have a 96 Honda Foreman 400 and it has been great never
failed me yet. I rode with a Polaris Sportsman 500 this winter and it
was one cool machine it went great in the snow and seemed to have tons
of power I would look at the Sportsman, Rubicon and Grizzly But if I
were buying another ATV right now it would be the Honda Foreman 450S in
Yellow. I don't want a auto tranny I like to shift. JMO
Good luck in your search

Take the time to check out the all new Prairie 650 V-Twin.  It's just now arriving at dealers.

The new Kaw is definitely worth looking at, but Im kinda leary of all the
corners they had to cut to keep it at 600 lbs. They even went with a
thinner body plastic from what I've been reading.

When I first heard about the thinner plastic, I thought what a rip.  But after thinking about, it shouldn't be that big a deal. Unless you completely abuse the machine, all you'll get is scuffs and scratches.  Of course, everyone rides different and under different conditions, so it probably is a concern to some.  I think the extra features out weigh the concerns.  That's one rider's opinion...

I saw one for the first time yesterday.  They hadn't even prep'd it yet.  I was so excited looking at all the new features, I forgot to check the plastic.
