Even more accurate is to mount a GPS onto the handlebars.
Make sure you clear out the top speed beforehand. Don't bother trying to
read the readout while you're moving, though. It'll be vibrating too
much. Wait until after the drag and see what the new top speed is.
I'm gonna mount a front Warn 2500 winch onto my z400, same as I did my
raptor. Amazing where it can take you, or get you out of. Also tames the
wheelie monster and puts the tires on the ground with less effort.

If Honda had came off their complacency kick and stuck a reverse on
their 400ex, my $6000 would have gone to them instead. Lead, follow, or
get out of the way.

Fer sure.
While my Raptor can blow away quite a few quads in a drag race, my next
quad was almost going to be that cool red Honda with its' reputation for
quality and easy maintenance. What would it really have taken them to
introduce a new feature? I say that every sale of a z400 cannibalizes a
400ex sale they could have made.

I got a rear rack for my Rap but even after reinforcing, it bent again.
The raptor soaks up the whoops but anything on that rear rack takes a
mega-pounding. Unless it is tied on super tight with many straps, it's
all over the trail in back of me!
