After I rolled my Grizzly down a steep hill I now have some fine
scratches on my plastic fuel tank cover. I tried to lightly buff them
out but all it did was take the shine off the paint. I was thinking
about using the Krylon Fusion Paint to spray it with some clear but
found that they don't make it in a clear. Dose anyone have any idea
how to get it shiny again? Or do you know of a clear plastic paint?
Thanks!

Thanks Kevin, I thought of that. I wish I knew somebody that worked in
a paint shop. I was surprised that Krylon Fusion didn't have a clear.
I also searched through Goggle for "plastic paint" and didn't find
anyone that made a clear.

Most online shops sell products for removing scratches & your bike will
shine like new.

The stuff I used was called Plastic Renew from Nac's Racing.
It removes the scratches then polishes to a shine.

Thanks Ted, I just ordered some after reading your reply, I'll let you
know what I think of it. I read the advertisement and it "sounds"
pretty good but it's nice to hear from someone who has used it!

The Icon would be interested to know how it works too. The son of a bitch's
who stole the Icon's 300ex spray painted it black and the Icon is stripping
the paint off but it leaves a dull finish.

Be cool,

Icon

Hey
I used Plastic Renew a few years ago to do over a 300ex that was in the type
of condition as the Icon's. There are a lot of sanding steps involved but if
you take your time and follow the instructions it comes out really well. In
fact mine seemed even more shiny and brighter than a new one. Almost too
shiny.

Thanks for that info!

The Icon has heard good things, and now the Icon is going to get some
Plastic Renew and give it a shot.

Be cool,

Your not applying clear to plastic, you are spraying onto a painted surface.
Use a clear gloss polyurethane.
