The Cat has more suspension travel and will be easier on you if you trail
ride. I rode with a guy last weekend on a King Quad and it just about beat
him to death. The rest of us were on 400 or bigger bikes and were traveling
pretty fast. He had to run almost wide open just to keep up. I personally
would make the 375 the minimum that I would buy for trails. The guys I ride
with may travel as far as 90 miles on a day trip. The trails are washed out
logging roads. Some of the trails are quite challenging.
The King Quad is not a bad bike. And really, the engine and tranny are
the same in both of the quads that you referenced. The King Quad has a
locking front differential. The Sandman says that the 300 Cat has the same
front differential and you can modify Cat to lock also. The Cat has better
brakes, and is a bigger, full size bike. Ride them both, buy what you like.
(And ride with people with a similar size bike.)

thats correct. ive now confirmed that by simply moving the shift lever 4
splines will give you 3 modes on the cat. 2wd, 4wheel open, and 4wheel
locked.
