Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there are any places in the metro Atlanta are where you can buy ethanol fuel? I recently got a new used-car and one of the features I discovered it had was that this model is able to run on both regular unleaded and ethanol fuel. So far I haven't had any luck finding places that sell it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Best regards,
Russell

There's some moonshiners out in Newton County that can fix you right up.

I believe almost all of the metro Atlanta gas stations should be selling
an ethanol mix during the summer due to ozone/pollution requirements in
this area.

I'm curious to know what kind of car is it?

It's 2001 Ford Taurus SE. Apparently they made (still make?) a
Flex-Fuel model that had the modifications necessary to allow it to run
on either regular unleaded fuel or ethanol (E-85) fuel.

Well, Russell, I remember reading an ad in the back of a Popular
Science or Mechanics magazine that advertised an ad for an ethanol
still. I was about 9 or 10 but it wouldn't hurt to look. Be the envy
of everyone and make your own fuel. I'm going to do a Google search
right now for it. I'll let you know of the results.

Thanks for the help! I tried a few search engines too and came across a
couple of people that you can order it from. (I couldn't find anything
local though) However, your ad from Popular Mechanics was definitely
the cheapest I've seen it. Some people were selling it in the $15 - 20
per gallon range. I'm sure it's a lot easier to get in places like
California.
