There's a problem with that, of course. The bible is a mish-mash of
"scriptural" writings. A collection of mythology, basically, written by
many. If it was written by a god, or a god dictating scripture to a
scribe, don't you think the writer would have known a few things about
what the god created? Like, for instance, the fact that the earth is
globular, not flat?

What little remains is housed at the Monastery of the Apocalypse, on
Patmos, City of Chora, about a twenty minute walk from the Port of
Skala. Most of the text succumbed to a mold as it was stored
improperly until the 1940's when the remaining pages, and some of the
salvaged pages were placed in an air-tight glass case. It's an
interesting tour if you ever get the chance to go.

thing. We've seen the Dead Sea Scrolls. We know for a fact that the
Catholic faith became what it is at the time of the Council of Nicea, in
the 3rd or 4th century CE. By that time, I suppose many gospel stories
had been written, and they chose four. Plus Acts. Many were discarded.
"Thomas", for example.
Which means a person or persons, mortal men (guaranteed not women)
decided what did or did not constitute the Word of God.
Cannonized by one "pious" group of mere men (and probably never voted
on), an early version of today's bible was created, out of previously
existing stories written by who knows who. And they call these accounts
"testimonials".
The present day Christian Religion was sewn together from old material
that evolved out of the Pagan Saviorgod religions. This historical fact
is never taught to believers today, of course. With the invention of
the printing press in the 1500s, the publication of The Bible was highly
frowned upon by the Church. Why? One must read it to find out.
Which brings up one more problem. How many of today's evangelical
proselytizers do you think have actually *read* this bible, at least the
King James version, translated into English?

In order to "read" any document, religious or otherwise, one's mind must
be OPEN to receive DATA, store then process that data into a vision of
what the communication from the human who wrote the text was visualizing
at the time he wrote it. You do this when you open the instruction
manual that came with the confusing new digital camera you bought, when
the realization that you aren't as smart as its engineers and need help
by letting THEM communicate directly with YOU using the power of text,

But, once you've been hammered, incessantly, but older humans since

the last priest/clergy/scribe to bastardize the text to his own agenda
was thinking? You've been told all the answers, all your life! You
can't open it and digest anything NEW for yourself! You've been told
all your life that to do that and question or think about what it
actually says IS A GRAVE SIN THAT WILL SEND YOU TO HELL TO BURN FOREVER!
No religious person can "read" and "process" the words of the bible,
when he's been SELECTIVELY hammered for the years of his mind's forming
by clergy TELLING him what they WANT him to see and hear. Every Sunday,
some clergy "reads" some tiny passage out of context, THEN, FOR THE NEXT
HOUR, explains to the crowd what that religion HAS PREDETERMINED WHAT IT
WANTS THEM TO THINK, already processed, about this tiny smidgen of the
document, taken out of context....probably because the next 2 lines tell
them to kill their children by stabbing them with a knife or slitting
their throats!
Every one of you theists reading this know EXACTLY what I'm talking
about. It's why the Goddamned text is all DIVIDED up by CHAPTER and
VERSE so finely noone can actually hear ALL of a single sentence during
the sermon from the clergy.

says, "You can have full sex with your 8 year old wife." The Christian
reading this text is HORRIFIED! THESE ARE MONSTERS MATING WITH LITTLE
GIRLS! Even if it says the SAME THING, (though I don't think it does),
in his BIBLE....HE'S NOT ALLOWED TO THINK ABOUT THE SAME IDEA IN HIS
BIBLE AS HE IS IN "THEIR" QURAN! All these religious documents are
FULL, loaded to the gills, with horrible human atrocities of genocide,
murder, mutilation, forced intercourse, killing children or women or
your own wife(wives)! But, PROPERLY INDOCTRINATED AND BRAINWASHED, they
can see it in OTHER religious documents....BUT NEVER THEIR OWN! That
would be a SIN!
