I can't oppose what you are personally saying, Siri, but Limbaugh would have more sympathy if he had been more scientifically knowledgeable and less politically motivated. He said about 2015 that "..Limbaugh denied second-hand smoke caused any deaths. “That is a myth. That has been disproven at the World Health Organization and the report was suppressed,” Limbaugh claimed. “There is no fatality whatsoever. There’s no even major sickness component associated with secondhand smoke. It may irritate you, and you may not like it, but it will not make you sick, and it will not kill you.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 2,500,000 nonsmokers have died from health problems caused by exposure to secondhand smoke since 1964.
Limbaugh went on to claim “firsthand smoke” isn’t that serious either.
“Firsthand smoke takes 50 years to kill people, if it does,” he said. “Not everybody that smokes gets cancer. Now, it’s true that everybody who smokes dies, but so does everyone who eats carrots.”
And his statement that:
"The coronavirus outbreak is being “weaponised” by the media to bring down Donald Trump when in fact it is simply a version of the “common cold”"

I was listening to a show of his where they were talking about gun control. A caller identified as "John" came on and started feeling off facts and figures about guns and gun control.
The moment I heard him, I recognized the voice, which I had heard many times before, it was the voice of John Lott.
I find it very hard to believe that Rush didn't know who it was as I'm sure they run in some of the same circles.
I called up and asked why they didn't identify him as the caller. I got some crap about them not knowing which I thought to be a lie. If you've heard Lott speak, his voice is hard to forget. He looks like the stereotypical absent minded professor who dresses kinda like Columbo.
I have nothing against Lott and I admire the work he's done on gun laws. What I don't understand is why the charade?
Maybe Rush will survive and become a better person.
I choose to be optimistic but I have serious doubts that recovery will change the formula that has made him rich.

Having had a brother who had bilateral lung cancer, I have some knowledge on this subject.
His lung cancer metasticized to his brain, which was operated on but to no avail because it also spread to his spine.
