In their gloating over Obama's victory, members of the left are
letting the mask slip. Chris Matthews, already notorious for his
over the top enthusiasms for Obama, and vitriolic rhetoric toward
conservatives, has actually reveled in the death and destruction
caused by Hurricane Sandy. For the left, you can't make an omelet
without breaking some eggs. The Bolsheviks, too, were quite willing
to let the people of Russia suffer, in pursuit of their utopia,
America, take note.

The video appears below, so you can see for yourself. Here is the
text, courtesy of Real Clear Politics:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: I am so proud of the country. To reelect this
president and overcoming -- not because of the partisanship or even
the policies. Here's an African-American guy with an unusual
background -- part immigrant background, part African-American
background -- with all this assault on him from day one. From Mitch
McConnell, from the clowns out there that will never be elected,
never will be to anything.

And the way he took it, as someone said, with coolness and charm
and dignity and took it and took it and kept moving forward and
doing his job. And the American people, and I know we look at these
percentage, 40% of white vote. Fine. That's about right among
Democrats in the last couple cycles, three cycles or four. Good
work for them. Good work for him. A good day for America.

I'm so glad we had that storm last week because I think the storm
was one of those things. No, politically I should say. Not in terms
of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good
politics.

Of course he did no such thing.

But he was called on his idiotic statement practically before he got it
out of his mouth by his fellow MSNBCers.

When was the last time a Foxer called one of his fellow Foxers on an
outrageous statement?

Mathews is a prick to ignore.

He said of Hilary Clinton,
"I'll be brutal, the reason she's a U.S. senator, the reason she's a
candidate for president, the reason she may be a front-runner is her
husband messed around. That's how she got to be senator from New York.
We keep forgetting it. She didn't win there on her merit."
Media Matters for America named Matthews its 2005 "Misinformer of the
Year," citing statements he made in support of President George W.
Bush.
On December 1, 2009, preceding Obama's speech announcing a troop
increase in Afghanistan, Matthews criticized the president for
choosing the United States Military Academy as his venue, referring to
it as "the enemy camp."
In January 2010, in Matthews's comments after President Obama's first
State of the Union Address, he said, "You know, I forgot he was black
tonight for an hour."
Matthews stated on air during the MSNBC extended coverage of the
election that he was "so glad we had that storm" in reference to
Hurricane Sandy and the attention President Obama received for his
quick response and oversight of the storm

But they are definitely more delusional.
