Pilate asked, "Art thou the King of the Jews?"

Jesus opened his mouth and said, "Sayest thou this thing of thyself,
or did others tell it thee of me?"

Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests
have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?"

Jesus opened his mouth and answered, "My kingdom is not of this world:
if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that
I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence."

Pilate therefore said unto him, "Art thou a king then?"

Jesus opened his mouth and answered, "Thou sayest that I am a king.
To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world,
that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the
truth heareth my voice."

Being questioned by Pilate was neither being "oppressed" nor "afflicted" (Isaiah 53::7) by the Roman Governor.

LORD Jesus was silent (Isaiah 53:7) when He suffered the physical wounds/stripes (Isaiah 53:5) by which we are physically healed as evident by it not being written that He said anything while being nailed to His cross.

In the interim, I am simply wonderfully hungry ( http://bit.ly/RapidTestCOVID-19 ) and hope you, Teresita, and others reading this, also have a healthy appetite too.

So how are you ?

Three gospels do say he was silent before Pilate, so as to "fulfill" the
prophesy in Isaiah, but then John comes in and has Jesus turn the trial
into another teaching moment. The fun part is watching Christians dance
to make all four of them work.

Such is why the gnostic gospels were
thrown out early on, they completely
contradicted the other gospels.

Mark 14:61-62- Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art
thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye
shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

So much for Isaiah then, when he prophesied, saying, "He was oppressed,
and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb
to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he
openeth not his mouth."

That's what I already said. They're just not in full compliance with
John. So I can't trust any of the gospels to tell me the truth about the
big things, since they do not agree even in this small thing.

Nice snippage.

10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not
that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?

11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except
it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee
hath the greater sin.

Not a very impressive prophecy, then. "Offer void during the trial at
Annas and Caiaphas and Pilate. Offer void during the scourging. Offer
void after being nailed to the cross. Offer only valid during the actual
time Jesus was being nailed to the cross."

It is written that a centurion guard who witnessed the crucifixion (i.e. "all that happened") declared "Surely He was the Son of GOD" (Matthew 27:54) indicating that someone who had witnessed many crucifixions was impressed by how our LORD Jesus did not cry out in pain while being nailed to His cross.

While wonderfully hungry ( http://bit.ly/Philippians4_12 ) in the Holy Spirit, Who causes (Deuteronomy 8:3) me to hunger right now (Luke 6:21a), I pray (2 Chronicles 7:14) that GOD changes your heart (Ezekiel 11:19-20 & 36:26) so that you, Teresita, would come to trust the truth, Who is LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth --> http://T3WiJ.com

Amen.

Be hungrier, which really is wonderfully healthier especially for diabetics and other heart disease patients:
