Holy Father calls for the world to respect the dignity of children

Vatican City, Nov 18, 2009 / 11:33 am (CNA).- Following today's general
audience, Benedict XVI appealed to the international community to respect
the rights of children around the globe.

The Holy Father recalled that November 20 marks the United Nations Day of
Prayer and Action for Children, saying, "My thoughts go to all the children
of the world, especially those who live in difficult conditions, and suffer
because of violence, abuse, sickness, war or hunger."

"At the same time," he continued, "I make an appeal to the international
community to increase its efforts to offer an adequate response to the
dramatic problems of infancy. May a generous commitment on everyone's part
not be lacking so that the rights of children may be recognized and their
dignity given ever greater respect. "

And by "world", he means Catholic priests, and dignity should include
virginity in this case.

Does that include protecting them from being buggered by the priests? A
piss poor job they've done of it until now.

clear that GOD is the ONLY One entitled to that title.

Right!! If the Pope were a LEADER who was worth a damn, he would
have ORDERED *all* of his cardinals and bishops to investigate EVERY priest
who had been the target of allegations of pedophilia, and then turn them,
and all documentation, over to the criminal justice system for follow-up
investigation, and full prosecution, where enough evidence could be
gleaned.

A worthwhile Pope would NOT have allowed any bishops to shield and
reassign those potential criminals to other, "safe," locales.

The RCC CULT stinks to high heaven, and Pope Benedict Arnold is it
the biggest RAT in the pile.

"Holy Father." ROTFLMAO!!!! Satan couldn't do worse!!

Quebec?s ?Silent Revolution

50 years ago, during the days of Rocket Richard, most Quebecers were Catholic.

But since the ?silent revlolution nobody goes to church today.

Look it up.

Did His Holiness allow the extradition of the terrorist Bernard Law?
If he hasn't then his claim to desiring to protect the dignity of
children simply isn't credible. If Mr. Ratzinger wishes to protect the
dignity of children, he should set a positive example by starting with
his own organization instead of demanding a standard of conduct that
he is unwilling to accept for himself.

FASCINATING and SO encouraging!! --

"In the 1960s, Quebec experienced what is known as the Silent
Revolution. In the early 1960s, around 95% of French-speaking
Quebeckers were practicing Catholics. Within a dozen years, less
than 5% of the French-speaking population was considered to be
practicing Catholic (Basically, what took France 200 years to live
out took place in one generation in Quebec)."

As for the Protestants (therein called "evangelicals") ---

"Percentage of Evangelicals in English-speaking Canada: 13.00%
Percentage of Evangelicals in French-speaking Canada: 0.56%"

The low numbers of so-called "evangelicals" (who often are bigoted
RRR cultists, but not nearly to the extent in Canada as in the USA, where
the RRR Cult is a toxic infestation, abetted by the equally-bigoted LDS
Cult) is very encouraging. But there being **only about in every 190**
Quebec residents in that category is WONDROUS!!

REAL Christianity is a GOOD thing.

There is little or nothing CHRISTIAN about the RCC, RRR, and LDS
Cults. But their having perpetually CLAIMED to be Christian, thus
doing ACTUAL Christianity a huge disservice, and painting it with the
brush of bigotry that it never has deserved, has made a PROFOUND
impact in America. The "silent revolution" that emancipated Quebec
has its own analogue here is the USA, with the result that America is
swiftly moving toward the day when the MAJORITY of Americans will
be NON-Christians:

Wrong, h7. He clearly was born a Jew, but his 3 years ministry clearly showed
his new covenant in his works and words and instituted with the Holy Mass, 7
sacraments and the Papacy upon his resurrection from the dead.

And that means the Catholic Chruch.

Which I'm sure you had not knowledge of.

On this point, I must say that I have to agree with Benny da Pope, and to that end, we
have had a collection in the village, and purchased cable length of good hemp rope.

King James. That's why we usually call it the King James Version.

>And verified when?

Not much of the Bible has been verified in any language. It's mostly
foundation myths for a people, supposed rules for them, some poetry,
some complaints from the local prophets, four stories alleged to have
been about the same person, a followup narrative, a bunch of nagging
letters and a hallucination. How do you verify those things?

I see you can't provide a credible (much less sane) proof of your assertion.
You're the asshole that made the assertion, so it's your reponsibility to
provide the proof. "Pro-choice" didn't exist in the American English
language in the 1860s, Dullard McClain. (It showed up a few decades later,
like...the 1960s.)

I think that the world would be happy if the pope just cleaned up his
own yard with regards to the dignity of children. Have you seen the
numbers of molestations at the hands of the clergy and others
affiliated with the church in Ireland? It's absolutely abhorrent
that the church knew about this, and allowed it to go on so long. A
retired bishop stated the other day that the Vatican was made aware of
this several times, starting in the 1930's.

There were no Catholics back then, beanbrain,
There were Jews, Greeks and others who were
in a Christ-centered cult, not a formalized religion.
The religion didn't really form until Constantine got
into the act.

The problem is known to have existed during WW-I Jimbo.

"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it
would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck, and to

The parents were transferring the priests from parish to parish and
providing the perverts with new victims? I agree that any parent that
new what was happening, and did nothing to put a stop to it should be
prosecuted, but I don't think every parent was guilty.

Correct. Constantine was also instrumental is changing the religion to
the very thing Jesus said the heavenly Father did not want: , a
sacrifice-base (325AD).

When they cherry picked what bits to believe and what bits to chuck -
including moving Christmas to December 35th from late Spring.

Indeed Chris. Substituting Jesus' supposed birthday celebration into
the already popular 25 December birthday celebration of Mithra, the
sun-god was typical of the Roman church's takeover modus operandi.
