This is one of the main reasons why I think christianity is
evil. Because it teaches people that it's good to believe things
without evidence. Since this is what they're taught, they can
believe anything. Further, since they think faith trumps
evidence, they can oppose that which has evidentiary support
such as evolution.
Christians consider it a compliment to say "he is a man of great
faith", but as far as I am concerned, you might as well call
that person a great fool.

So you believe isolated cases of mentally disturbed people represent
all of religion?
Good.
Let's apply the same standard to science.
We can start with nuclear bombs and work our way back through history.
Based on scientific frauds alone, we should be able to invalidate
science, unless you apply a double standard here. Well? Do you?

rather, having a real personal relationship with the Creator and
studying and obeying what the Creators word of instruction is to all
of mankind. Mr. Camping didnt do this otherwise he would have
learned that no man knows the day or hour of Christs return for his

There is no objective evidence that
(1) there is any creator at all, or
(2) even if there were one, that it would take any notice of a backwards
planet in a minor solar system on the edge of one of billions upon
billions of galaxies.

Madman, I don't read many of your posts and I don't normally
respond to you because you're a loki troll. I don't understand
why so many other people do. Also, I really don't understand
what you get out of being a loki. And the number of posts you
write is, IMHO, staggering. Is someone paying you to do this? I
mean, you probably write more posts in a day than I do in a
month. Of course mine tend to be more in depth and have more
substance to them, but still.
So what is it that you get out of being a loki? Is it thrilling
having people think that you're dumber than you really are? Do
you laugh whenever you see a post thinking that that person just
spent a bunch of time refuting a position you don't even hold?
Is it fun trying to frustrate people by ignoring what they wrote
as if it had just gone in one ear and out the other (or, should

My post was not about isolated cases. I wrote "[christianity]
teaches people that it's good to believe things without
evidence". That's true of every denomination that I'm aware of.
They all teach that it is good to believe in god based on faith.
This is not at all an isolated case.

Again, I think this is a terrible thing you are doing here.
There already are lots of people who that that science is bogus.
To the extent that the bible can be analyzed scientifically,
it's shown to be wrong. Evolution, plate tectonics, astronomy
and many other fields show that the bible is wrong. So, what do
creationists do? They reject science.
And what has science given us? Cures to many diseases, cars,
airplanes, computers, modern communications, improved
agricultural methods, lightning rods to thwart god's attempt to
burn down buildings, etc.
What has faith given us? Witch burnings, planes flown into
buildings, crusades, death cults, child abuse, homophobia and
creationists.
