Round two. After a sterling introduction of our first competitor
(Beth Wise) and some scary insight into her psyche, we move on to our
next contestant...

The rules are simple. Based on Don's posts, try to give an accurate
physical, mental, historical sketch of Mr. Antropos. At the end of
the week, he will post his own 'sketch' and name a winner. (Beth
still hasn't named the winner for her closest guess).

Good luck and may the best contestant win.

Don... Ummm... Not much here, but let's see...
Most likely mid-to-late 20ties. Not married, but dating. Possibly
bisexual. Dutch atheist. [Doh!] Technical education. Sexual pervert
(hehehe). About 6 ft tall. Intelligent (he IS an atheist, after all). Likes
music, but I cannot guess what kind (classical?).

Well, that's about it... how did I do?

I imagine Don as being a reallllly laid back guy. He possibly has mousy
brown to dark brown hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He also loves to party
with friends.

Late 20s/early 30s. Don likes to sit and ponder things - his degree
in philosophy helps him examine the existential. Not a tall man, but
seems tall with his long dark hair and goatee. Enjoys the vegetarian
lifestyle and nature with his young son whom he reads Kirkegaard to.
He's been pretty happy and content since he "ditched the wife" and
likes to play his classical music collection at full volume because he
couldn't stand her taste for pop music.

I think she named three winners.

Hey, almost missed it. I rely too much on my watch-files these days.
Good thing I run through the list of threads once in a while.

Well, keep shooting people. Don't leave me in the dark. I'm very
curious about who I am myself. Grin.

Don is mid-thirties, 185cm tall, and 88 kilograms. He has
sandy-brown, collar-length hair. He has a small spare-tire around his
middle caused from spending too much time in front of his computer and
not enough spent exercising. Nice smiling brown eyes and a strong
square jaw. He wears contact lens.

He spends way too much time at his computer. In fact, the computer is
the focal point of his apartment (a second-floor walk-up with a great
view, if he would open the curtains and look out) He keeps his
television on almost all of the time he spends in his apartment, just
for noise although he will occasionally actually watch a soccer
(sorry, football) match. He lives in a city so he does not need to
own an auto. He has very few good friends (He's not a hermit, just
very particular.) He tutors students in English and computers for a
living and he plays computer games in his spare time (Don asks "What
spare time?") and listens to alternative rock.

He is currently not dating, but is looking for the "right" woman
(well, maybe not the "right" woman, but a woman, nonetheless). He was
formerly in a long-term relationship and would feel most comfortable
committed to an intelligent, independent, fun person who would put up
with his moods without becoming angry. He is moody, you know. He
likes children - at a distance, but feels no need for additional
children of his own. He has a little girl from the aforementioned
relationship who lives with her mother, but adores her visits with her
father.

Don has an innate sense of humor and justice. While he is not above
playing practical jokes, he does not have a nasty bone in his body.
He will sit up all night, with beer in hand, and discuss politics,
religion, human rights and history until he is sure that you
understand that his opinions are, of course, correct.

Hmmm, let's see. There's not a lot to go on, but what the hell, I'll
try.

Doesn't strike me as being all that tall, maybe average in height.

For some reason, I see him in glasses, I don't know why.

He likes thinking. Deep philosophical questions. Now whether or not he
gets the answers is a different thing.

Now being a philosopher, I see the classic "thinker" look about him. The
kind to stand back and observe. Possibly sitting in the corner of his
favourite coffeehouse, drinking espresso and just making notes. Of
course, this goes without saying that he has facial hair of some sort.
Goatee? No, too trendy. Maybe a full beard, or just something on the
chin.

That's pretty much it.

(snip Liz's description)

I'd say Don is about 187cm tall, fair skin, sandy blonde hair and
green eyes.
He's in his mid - late 30's, married with 2 kids.

Damn, Liz- did you date him for a while, or what? :)

Anyway, I happen to know that Mr. Antropos is 34 and lives in the
Netherlands, where he is a teacher and artist.

I'm cheating, of course.

Not yet. 8-) I think that I may have mentioned before that I have a
very active imagination. I just start writing without the inhibition
of caring if I am right. It's very liberating. I look on it as an
exercise in character development. Besides using my scattergun
approach, I'm bound hit something - like horoscopes or tarot reading.

But you didn't make anything up. <whine> Do you think that I should
put a disclaimer on my posts that any resemblance between what I write
and the real person is purely coincidental?
