It infuriates me when morons say that Trump "says it like it is". He has promised to protect me from Mexican criminals by building a wall almost as long as the great wall of China. He will make Mexico pay for it by some magical means. He will round up 11 million people which is a bigger project than Hitler ever attempted. He will militarily stand up to Russia and China. And, of course, while paying for all this he will balance the budget and refrain from raising my taxes. If he has such a hefty magic wand he should also promise me a mission to Mars. Straight talk? I call it pure horseshit.

Chump is just fine until somebody asks him exactly HOW he intends to accomplish these magical deeds... then he quickly changes the subject. The guy's an empty suit with no political experience.

I think the man always has been an empty suit. Like other lucky and successful business men, he lost contact with there real world a long time ago and drifts in the nether world of his own inflated ego. He surrounds himself with people who groom him and say "yes," and he's used to making sweeping pronouncements and orders without the least idea of how to do anything in particular himself. In his mind if he says something vague like "I'll make America Great Again" he doesn't have to worry about the details (which is why he can't answer ay questions) or even give a crude outline of a viable policy. Some lesser human beings will just have to do that and to carry it out.

I don't think he even knows what the role of the president of the United States is. The president executes the will of Congress. Despite the pretensions of presidential candidates, that's the function of the office, and the president is always in thrall to Congress. Congress itself is fairly evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats whose party loyalty is not guaranteed on any particular issue, always some of them switching sides and voting against party pressure to please their constituents. There's also the problem of the Supreme Court and what it will do, and, of course the burden of dealing with things like filibuster. To aggravate matters, the professional republicans despise the turd and think he's managed to alienate a huge block of Hispanic voters without which they'll lose the election. (I can just imagine the advertisements now -- Trump bellowing out that Hispanics are rapists and murderers.)

I'm afraid that if he does get elected, he'll soon get frustrated and might try to get the military to back him in a coup against Congress. He's a bloody sociopath and not beyond doing that. Hopefully, the generals and colonels will take their oath to uphold and defend the constitution seriously and not respond, but there are more than a few nutcases among them as well.

This election is not about "how" but "why". 'ratbama screwed the pooch, and the
Donald is intent on cleaning it up. If you don't want the Donald, you should
have used better judgment before you voted for 'ratbama.

Get it, KKKpaul.

Not with 'ratbama. He doesn't care. He can eak out a reason to sign the
temporary agreement with Iran, and so he will. The emperor is a naked man.

Tell us how Donny boy intends to "clean up"anything, Dukie, tell us. I'd liked to know his plans. So far the bombastic asshole has said nothing. Oh, that's right, he's gonna "Make America Great Again." Only maggots like you and the Trump lovers think America isn't great. In fact, you morons hate the country, hate its freedoms and its democracy, hate half its citizens and want to see it turned into a fascist dictatorship.

Yep, Frump refuses to say how he's going to make America great again.
He refuses to say how he's going to do anything but insult the USA
and everyone in it. The guy's just a bobble-headed bag of wind. So,
of course, Duke fell for his line.

No, it is about how. Trump doesn't even have a platform - just a bunch
of things he says he going to do but not how. It's time for him to stop
telling the world how wonderful he is and actually say something filled
with meaning. But, he won't. And that is why he fails. All he has is a base and nothing else. He has made enemies of women, blacks, Hispanics, young and old people and the middle class

That is one of the things I hate most about Trump. The second I saw that baseball cap he wears, I saw how much Trump hates America and wants to

America hatred has been part of the song of the right for at least a century. I can remember back in the 1950s and 60s listening to the wingaloons talk with immense admiration of the strength of the Soviet Union and our many national weaknesses. (Right now our contemporaries in this newsgroup are talking with admiration and fear of the Russians. Deja vu all over again.) They, the Soviets, were united, implacable, ruthless, driven by ideology and zealotry while Americans were fun-loving, naïve and weak. They were everywhere as well, embedded in every branch of government, even the military. The nutcases of the day, the John Birch Society, the rabid right and even the intellectual right -- Buckley and that crowd -- were infected by it. I remember Buckley grimly quoting Whittaker Chambers (Communist defector) as saying "When I left the Communists for the democrats I couldn't escape the feeling I was leaving the winning side for the losing one." Ooooo, scary.

Hating their own country is a typical fascist ploy. They'll wrap themselves in the flag then appeal to all the frustrated and depressed old white men, the losers who don't know what happened to their lives, the ones of simple faith with limited educations and confused minds, and convince them that their lives are shit because the country has been hijacked by "Liberals" (whoever the hell they are) and that now hobgoblins and boogeymen lurk everywhere. According to them, we were once great but we are no longer because a mulatto is in control and homosexuals can marry. It's all right our of Goebbels' play book. Liberals are the Jews of the American fascists. You could take Mein Kamph today, replace the word "Jew" with that of "Liberal," and be right in line with American fascism.

Trump is the boldest and so far the most successful advocate of the hate America crowd. He says nothing that stretches the mind, talks in simple, brutal, vague language, reassures all the blighted numbskulls that their prejudices are well-founded and that America is plunging toward oblivion in a world surrounded by hateful enemies, and make the confused, the lost and the stupid think they're whole and sane. Let's hope he fizzles out before he gets any real political power. He's a sociopath who could be immensely dangerous in the White House.

He's taking a free ride right now in the earliest stages where sound-bite simplicity is easy for the dullards to understand. But as time goes on, more questions are asked, and more people understand he hasn't the vaguest clue how to make his pronouncement work in the real world, his free ride is going to turn into a train wreck.

Yes. The country got the Affordable Care Act, a Financial Reform Act and he signed a treaty with Russia, continuing the process of strategic arms limitation. Unemployment is sliding down to pre 2008 levels and if you'd invested in the Stock Market you would have doubled your money.

Her last several books have done worse and worse. She's getting desperate. I doubt that she was smart enough to save anything.

Do you believe him? He had to say something to try to pull in some Liberals.
He failed dismally. Remember, Trump always lies. He doesn't even like himself.

Butting in.

All politicians lie that is a given. Some about E-mail servers some
about taxes. Some just because they can like Trump.\

Only thing I like about Trump is he is stirring the Pot forcing
politicians to talk about things they'd rather not.
Now that isn't fair... Trump has much in common with the
freeloading Liberal Me Me Me! types.

Didn't Trump used to be a Democrat?

What if we have Trump on one side and Sanders on the other? Both suck
and neither will get anything though Congress if elected.

Friend said he'd bet me we will have a Clinton/Sanders ticket.

Repubs who knows so far not impressed.

He hasn't revealed what he doesn't need to reveal now. 'rathill just said
selling aborted baby parts is ok with her.

Remember, Trump is ahead and HAS NOT shown his platform. And you now why?

Because this election is not about right vs left, conservative vs liberal,
Republican vs 'rat. The PC world is a massive mistake. Like it was Trump's job
to correct/confirm what that dude in NH stated about 'ratbama's religion.

Trump's intent is to push undoing what 'ratboybama dumped on this country by
people like you. We don't care for the specifics - yet. But you can bet they
won't be PC.

'ratboybama never had a platform except change. The Donald's platform will be
to change it back. And he has our backing, and immensely more experience in
major dealing that 'ratboybama has after 7 years screwing this country.

Bernie Sanders has always been honest about being a Socialist. Besides, what's so terrible about being a Socialist. Most of the people in the US are Socialists. They have Medicare, Social Security and the Affordable Care Plan.
That is all Socialism. Are you one of the people who thinks that Communism and Socialism are the same thing?

I already explained that to you. This election is not about right vs left,
conservative vs liberal, Republican vs 'rat. It's directly aimed at returning
America to the greatness we had before the sins of 'ratbama were foisted on us.
