Awesome game. 3d tactical battle graphics are outstanding. Strategic level
conquest game works seamlessly with the tactical battle game so that you
command your armies as you conquer the world!

no.1......then a week later Patch no.2...
Pity they don't take a bit more time and have the bugs sorted before the
release date.

Even with extensive beta testing there are always bugs that get through.
The Totalwar board is full of bug reports and wishlists, expert players
bitching about how dumb the AI is, all the usual.

Hmm. I might have to try that.
Rome is kicking my ass already, I'm going broke keeping up my fleet and
now the Senate wants me to declare war on the Gauls. I had the same
problem in Medieval Total War, armies are *expensive*. You can't just
overwhelm your enemies, you have to be *efficient*.

I'm having installation troubles. It installed in the wrong language
the first time. Probably a fluke, or I nudged some button at the last
minute and didn't notice. Tried everything I could think of to change
the language, only to realize they had sent me the wrong language
version, I wanted the original english since it tends to make the most
sense to me. Now, however, it won't install, because it claims the
game is already installed, and I've deleted every references to rome
and total war in my registry and on my hard drive at large. Must be
some machine code shit left somewhere that's screwing it up. Guess I
have to reinstall windows *again*.
I'm enjoying the game Evil Genius immensily though... it takes a while
to grow on you, but once it takes a hold, you play it for night after
night until you win through.

I saw it on Playstation 2, and it didn't really impress me...
hopefully the gameplay is good and the PC version better.

Yeah, I think I'm finally getting the hang of the RTW Strategic campaign
game. The tactical battle level is a blast, but the strategy game grows
on you too.
