Christians in alt.atheism are going to HELL

You know who you are.
Those of you Christians who regularly post in alt.atheism are destined
for an eternity of Hell. Why? It's very obvious you are NOT doing
God's work here. Instead, you are selfish and un-pious and so full of
yourself that you have become the OPPOSITE of a good Christian here.
Of course, the Opposite of a good Christian... the opposite of
bringing atheists IN to the flock would be an anti-Christian... a
Christian purposely repelling people from the light of God.
In your rabid pushing of God's words on atheists, you are, in reality
pushing them AWAY from God. You post your rants and "evidence" over
and over and over -- all the time wondering why "they just aren't
getting it", but *YOU* are the reason they are not finding the Lord.
YOU ARE.

I've told these people before that the Almighty God will cast their Eternal
Souls into the Lake of Fire for their Pride and Wrath, but do they listen?

And I've also informed them that they will burn in Hell having never
actually accepted Jesus into their hearts because a heart full of anger and
arrogance has no room for the Lord Jesus, but they never respond to that
one. They know it's true, but they are too much attached to the Ways of
Satan to care.
It's sad, in a way, that atheists know more about christian doctrine than
these people do, sad but telling.

I do not claim to know your thoughts or emotions. You would be a liar
to claim to know mine. And quite ignorant of the teachings of Christ as
well.
I am not afraid of your god or your hell. You can call that arrogance
if you want. I call it wisdom. I see no reason to fear. Nature strikes
the adherents and the infidels with equal lack of mercy. Give me a
reason to fear. There is no point in fearing something which cannot be
controlled. That serves no purpose. You can cower in the pulpit and cry
out for help while I find my way in the world.
As for anger, your stupidity irritates me. Injustice angers me.
Futility angers me. My faults and shortcommings anger me. Jesus himself
became angry at times. He threw out the money changers from the temple.
But do I have a heart filled with anger? I can't imagine how a person
could live in such a state. More likely you have a brain filled with
delusion.
And it is these traits that leave no room for your Jesus? You seem to
have chosen belief for emotional reasons and are incapable of
understanding that people don't reject belief for emotional reasons.
Who desires there to be no god to take care of them? Who desires life
to be finite and possibly without purpose and meaning? Only a madman
would desire such things, a person even more deranged than you.

If you have ever read a book called "The Book" (greek biblios) about a
imaginary god called "God" with a jewish character in it called Jesus
(alias Christ) you will probably have forgotton he is attributed as
once saying

I take it you do not follow the advice given by whoever put this
in his mouth, a system of dubious morality and a poor way of
leading your life called Christianity (spit). Apologies for the rude

or evidence to back up this claim that you make but you don't listen

We get it constantly thrust at us as mythology but never as anything
that substantiates it. I used to know a lot about Robin Hood as a
child thinking he was a real character from history but when I grew
up and became a man I realised he was mostly fiction and I put away

I don't think atheists can be categorized as a group of people that
can be called 'the best', just as all theists cannot (and are not)
'the worst'. There are many good Christians.
If you feel you are in HELL as you live your life on earth, then I
feel quite sorry for you since this Earth is close to paradise for
those who see it as such. By all means... keep your blinders on...
keep DEATH the focus of your life; death as the 'doorway' to something
better... It's your perogative to do this.
But I warn you. If you keep them on and only focus on the NEXT life
during this one, you are doomed to repeat THIS one over and over and
over since you refuse to learn and grow and see the beauty of the
world and life.

celebrities and politicians. As for SATANISTS... I don't know of any

If by "this system" you mean SUV makers & drivers, reality TV viewers,
and insane consumerism of most Americans.... then I agree.
I've rejected all of those systems and more. I live simply, by
choice... I love when I find opportunity to love; I see beauty
everywhere; I look for hope where I can and try to create it where
it's not.
Life has it's challenges, of course, but I wouldn't have it any other
way. I life without failure... without challenges... without
hardships would not be a life worth living. It are these adversities
that make the good and beautiful what they are.

I am an atheists. I follow the golden rule as often as I can. I help
where help is needed. I voluteer when I'm able. I wave & smile
instead of flipping the bird at a driver when they cut me off.
I'm no Sister Teresa (sister teresa wasn't any sister teresa), but I
do my best. I try. My goal is to make those people and places I
touch in my life better in some way.
Why? Because it's the right thing to do... not because I FEAR some
god or because I'm trying to win my way into a wonderful afterlife.

There is a saying that life on earth is Hell.
And it is for some people for sure. But it need not be, if you are
in position to enjoy life - some people don't have that choice at all.
Anyway I do agree with the reasoned statement that Christianity (and others
from this same area of the world) is just a load of rubbish, because it
doesn't offer anything logical and reasonable for us to believe in.
God has become a much hated term, and entity because of the actions
mentioned in the Bible by God - who clearly destroys those who don't want
to worship God. Now what kind of God is that? And who would wish to pray to
that God? Either the events happened in the Bible or they did not.
It clearly is a mish-mash of different writings, and all matter of
interpretations. It is not a masterful insightful book. It is a plain mess,
just as this world clearly is.
There is no clarity to the Bible, because anyone can pick out anything they
like from the Bible (Good, Bad or Indifferent) and make their point.
There is some truth in the Bible, but so very little. Or rather, it is all
messed up in it.

Shadow is cursed with just enough brains to realise that his
belief system is just that, mere belief, but not enough intellect to
take the last step towards rationalising it.
You can see that, when occasionally he literally screws his
eyes tight shut and clenches his fists hard together and declares
with all his strength and might that 'I know that god exists,
really really exists, I have no doubts" like a child in a tantrum
trying to convince himself, but then gets all anxious because it
does not work and he still has his doubts. Seeing people like us
trouble him deeply because it threatens these frustrated convictions
that he has and undermines them. He hates us for unintentionally
undermining his faith so he has to see us as attacking him.
In other words the very fact that there are people who do
not share his faith is an attack on that faith even though we
don't actually do anything other than be here. We get many
unconvinced weak believers frightened of losing there faith
coming here like this simply because of this.
He tries to rationalise it in his simple way by telling himself
we have to be unhappy, we have to believing his god deep
down, but are denying it and it simply adds to his paranoia
when we we calmly assure him it is not true.
I think the best thing we can do for him is not respond
to his posts as it clearly just agitates him and nothing
is achieved anyway. He has nothing to say and who cares
about his poor state of mind anyway? Don't we have
more interesting things to talk about than him?

what nations pledged in aid for the Tsunami victims and
what was actully paid
The USA pledged $300m (IIRC) and gave only a fraction of that.
The UK actually paid more than pledged and more than the USA.
Bearing in mind that the UK is about the size of Florida we
gave far more per capita than the USA! Japan pledged the
highest amount $500m and immediately gave that amount.
In general all the countries of Europe gave more than pledged
and also gave more from the Euro budget. We do care and
we give per capita a lot both from government and via aid
charities.
