Again, in each day, the road accidents kill many believers too, primarily because of accidents which is neglected by your pixie in the sky! Why is it so that an all powerful pixie enjoy his peace on top of the cloud, without even lift a finger?

And, even in the more serious myths, I've never seen anything about him
killing anyone. Plus, I like his being an educational and literary god.
His original stories were quite different. I have a feeling more than
one god formed the final product.

another or faking it. Some aren't. Since most of you trolls here

Mikey is definitely a shyster, though not the legal beagle kind. Shyster
basically means a dishonest or crooked person. The original German word
means one who defecates ( a shitter), probably meaning a liar.

Poor Ganesha probably got tired of the gore and violence in his earlier
form. Besides lugging that big elephant head around caused him to eat
more and get fat. Not a good thing for going into violent battle. So,
he sticks to his scrolls and occasionally eats someone out of house
and home. The story I read about that was very funny. This very wealthy
man kept inviting Ganesh to his palace for dinner and was always turned
down. Ganesh knew the guy just wanted to be able to brag about the god
eating in his house. Realizing that the man was not going to give up,
Ganesh finally accepted. The table was set with all kinds of wonderful
food. Before anyone else could eat a thing, Ganesha scarfed up everything.
The rich man had to bring out all the food in his kitchen, then his pantry,
then his storeroom. The poor guy was going crazy when Ganesh figured he
had learned his lesson and left. I can imagine him saying on his way out,
"Terrific meal! We should do this again sometime soon!" with a great big
elephantine smile on his face. And the now not so rich guy passing out.

This reminds me of the Royal Progresses made by Henry VIII, his
daughter, and probably others. The would go out visiting, staying at
the manor houses of the more uppity lords. When a monarch and his/her
retinue stay for a week, the lord's circumstances are straitened; if
they stayed for a month, the lord was no longer uppity, but broke. The
excellent film _Vatel_ is a French version of the same thing, but with
the focus on the lord's major domo (Depardieu) responsible for dishing
up the banquets and providing the entertainments. It is not a happy
ending for him, either.
