Since 1990, a number of new antipsychotic drugs have been introduced
that have been quite successful in dealing with schizophrenic
hallucinations.
Clozapine (Clozaril) is quite effective, but, it can dramatically
reduce your white blood cell count. If you take it, you'll have blood
drawn once a week to monitor your white count.
There are others with less dramatic side effects -- your doc may want
to consider one of these:
-- Risperidone (Risperdal)
-- Aripiprazole (Abilify)
-- Quetiapine (Seroquel), and,
-- Olanzapine (Zyprexa)
