: This story has been updated to reflect that if the Thwaites Glacier
: cracks in the next decade, the rise in sea levels by at least a foot
: could take decades or centuries to occur.

Ice doesn't increase water levels as it melts.

You can actually test this. If you're one of those morons who
thinks Gwobull Warbling propaganda is science -- i.e. a mouth
mouth breathing imbecile -- you haven't the faintest clue how. I'll
tell you but, as you are a brainwashed jackass it won't help and
we're both wasting out time. Anyhow, this is how you test it:

Make a glass of ice water. Note the water level.

There. That's it. But if you're a brainwashed buffoon, and you
probably are, you've been trained to ignore even your own eyes
in favor of what the 1%, through the media, order you to think.

Example: "IT'S SO HOT THAT IT'S COLD."

You can't remember back even a single news cycle, being a
brainwashed buffoon, but remember the idiotic "Bomb Cycle"
arctic weather that was proof positive that the earth was too
hot?

No? Of course not...

What about this: Do you remember only recently reading about
how 2021 saw RECORD HOT ocean temperatures? Dude, it was
a La Nina year!

You don't know what that means, and lack any curiosity much
less enough to Google it but, a La Nina means it was COLDER
THAN NORMAL ocean temperatures.

El Nino: Warmer than usual.

La Nina: COLDER THAN NORMAL!

La Ninas have been more common... "IT'S SO HOT THAT IT'S COLD!"

And to this media propaganda that you think is science we may now
add the claim that ice in water only raises the water level when it
melts.

"But the media is my friend! It loves me! It exists only to keep me
informed with the most relevant and accurate information."

Yeah, half dozen or so multi-billion dollar Wall Street firms that own
and control the media are themselves owned & operated by tree
hugging hippies on a Vermont commune...

That, or you're a blithering idiot and it's a wonder if you manage to
pee without turning your socks yellow.

Have a pleasant day.

Ice has more volume, but it also has less density
than water. Consider putting a huge block of ice
in the middle of a cookie tray. Note how the water
fills up the tray as the ice melts.

Why? What on earth would posses you to spew such idiocy?

What you're pretending here -- defending -- is that ice increases
water level as it melts. And it doesn't. And you can test this and
see for yourself that it's bullshit BY PUTTING ICE IN WATER!!!

If you want to test if ice increases water levels AS IT MELTS you
put ice in water and NOT on the middle of a cookie try.

WHAT EVER INCREASE in water level the ice will cause is
immediate. You drop the ice into the water, the water level goes
up. The ice melts, the water level stays exactly the same. Yet
the propaganda brainwashing you is saying that it takes decades
if not a century for the water to rise.

Why? Because glacial calving is not unusual much less something
to wet your bed over. And glaciers will plop into the ocean, including
whatever glacier you need you to panic over this week, and when it
does you will NOT see doom & gloom. So right away you will see with
your own eyes that the media is not your most bestest friend ever,
that "Facebook" isn't Latin for "Science" and that you were lied to.

Unless...

Unless they order you to think that ice only raises water levels when
it melts. And if you're brainwashed enough, and stupid enough, you
will believe it. You do believe whatever the media orders you to
believe.

You will only think approved thoughts.

And you just proved it. You did. Here. In this thread.

Congratulations.

Only the ice in the Arctic is floating in the water.
Antarctica ice sheets and the Greenland ice sheets
are on land and do not float in the water. Antarctica
ice accounts for 90% of all glacial ice.
If all of this ice melted, sea level would rise about 216 feet.

That's exactly what I said, you stupid mouth breathing shit stain. There's no
years or decades or "Centuries" delay as the ice melts.

Moron.

Instead of defending fake news, propaganda masquerading as "Science," why
don't you pretend you have some integrity and tell the truth for a change?

You're staring at PROOF POSITIVE BY YOUR OWN WORDS that the Gwobull
Warbling "Science" is utter bullshit, and you're protecting it. You're misrepresenting
what I said, and misrepresenting the facts.

The claim is that a glacier is going to collapse into the fucking
ocean, AND THEM maybe centuries later it was cause a rise in
sea level. ALL OF THE MEDIA reports telling you it's AGW
"Science" is this inaccurate. It's all fake. It's all exploiting your
amazing levels of stupidity & emotional weakness.

Yeah, exactly like in this case.

That is not accurate. With all the ice melted, the increased atmosphere
temperature will evaporate more water from the sea into the air. The
entire Earth would be covered by thick cloud. As the result, sea level
is likely to remain the same or even become lower.

Correct. It was a flood, not a tsunami. Flood is only the result too
much rain. There is no need of 29,000 feet of water.

Ice on land raises the water level when it melts and the water runs down
into the ocean. There's land under the Antarctic glaciers, frex .

Okay mr arm chair conjecturer.

How about you build dams to trap water into reservoirs so it doesn't flow into the ocean and see if you can slow or halt sea level raising claims.

And you know it! It's a fact. You. Know. It's. Happening.

You know Gwobull Warbling is a crock of shit. You know there isn't a lick

You are so brave & clever, the way you walk in step perfectly as the media
orders you to, not to mention how you've managed to reinvent the laws of
nature so that now ice raises the water level as it melts...

That, or you're a disgrace & laughed at by everyone who makes the mistake

As long as you say weird things such as knowledge resides in the heart
and not the brain, you can never have a serious debate with anyone. No
one takes anything you say seriously.

You don't have one. You're a fake atheists who by his own standards can't

You don't have an irony meter. If you did, the exploding pieces would have

no evidence to the substantiate the existence of any "God"/gods
and that the probability of the existence of any god is near zero.
You've been reading my posts...you should know by now that I
reject the silly notion that there's a magic sky daddy !

...no, of course I don't believe that Darwin was the first. There
were others before him such as Lamarck and Hilaire who proposed
their own versions of evolution. It was Darwin, however, who
firsrt proposed that complexity evolved simply as a result of life
adapting to its local conditions from one generation to the next
which set the theory in motion to the current day.

...we know that abiogenesis happened. because we're here.
There's no other viable option. Problem is, we don't the bio-chemical
and logistical details of how it happened. It's very difficult to
reconstruct the primordial earth environment billions of years ago.
Most likely there were millions of concurrent bio-chemical reactions
going on all over the planet in tide pools and possibly around
underwater thermo-vents that eventually led to living cells. Science
will eventually figure it out but NOT by proposing supernatural
bullshit and when they do, it'll be the death knell for most
religions.

Lol! Liar. Not a good liar. In fact, you're a shitty liar because you had to know
that I would point out the fact you didn't do it. You didn't support let alone
"Prove" that atheists exists, not by any standard that you yourself exist.

So the media reported that it could take decades, or even a century, for
a glacier that has plunged into the ocean to raise sea level, and the
mental illness pretending it's an atheist thinks this is "Science."

Not just that, the mental illness pretending it's an atheist is militantly
defending this idiocy as "Science"...

Ice doesn't raise water levels as it melts. You plop ice into a glass of
water, the water line goes up. The ice melt, the water line stays
exactly where it was when you placed the ice inside.

You know this. you learned this as a child. And now you're ignoring
what you know because you're fucked up. Emotionally, you can't
deal with the fact that the media is lying to you.

After YEARS of being told that you're a superior human being for
deepthroating the media, you were confronted by the fact that you
are a fucking idiot. And you can't deal with it.

You'd rather be boned up the ass by the 1%, through its media, then
admit that you were played.

You're pathetic.
