Let's assume for a moment that a monkey is smart enough to think,
something not impossible for those who believe a serpent can talk.
Would that monkey believe in god or rather be an atheist? Now, let's
assume a sheep is questioned about her beliefs... It's not so hard to
figure out what she would think. See what I'm getting at?

Different species have different needs, just that the monkey is way
smarter than the sheep. Something to think about whenever they ask you
where you stand...

Why did Jesus Speak In Parables?

Jesus himself tells us...“Because to you it has been given to know the
mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them, it has not been given…
Therefore, I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not
see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

***

I do speak in parables too, so the sheep who inhabit the kingdom of
the lion can understand me.

I just call'em like I see'm. You keep opening new crossposted threads
and talking blithering non-sense to no apparent purpose (very much
like the moralizing jerkoffs you rant against whom you much more
resemble than I)

There's two kind of people in this world:

Those for the revolution and those against it.

I ask them straight in the face: "ARE YOU A SHEEP?"

Just kidding. I do refer to them as such though.

Being a sheep and an atheist is an oxymoron.

Well, to follow the metaphor, and to avoid the monkey name, we can
safely say the atheist is the black sheep.

The sheep are so low at calling names that they even called a man of
science like Darwin a "monkey." But the common people are OK with the
name, better than sheep, so we find the monkey name quite useful.

Logically, this premise is grounded upon the presumptuous assumption
that thinking is “smart” and sometimes it isn't.

Ever wonder if the Garden of Eden had a Tree of the Knowledge of
Quantum Physics? How about a Tree of the Knowledge of what Women
Think (Freud never did figure that out.)? Would the caretaker of such
Trees be a vocal reptile, mammalian or what?

You are presenting analogies, not speaking in parables. You ain’t
Christ, buddy.

We the Sheeple of the United States of America.

This is from the actual Apollo 11 mission:

APOLLO CONTROL (10:44 AM) The spacecraft Columbia has gone behind the
moon in the 23rd lunar revolution. Not since Adam has any human known
such solitude as Mike Collins is experiencing during the 47 minutes of
each lunar revolution when he's behind the moon with no one to talk to
except his tape recorder aboard Columbia.

The sheep are so smart that they must be spoken to in parables... and
yet don't have a clue what a parable is.

PARABLE: A simple story illustrating a moral or religious lesson.

Aren't the parables in the Bible stupid and boring?

Now tell me if Aesop doesn't have better parables than the Bible...

Famous storyteller Aesop (620?-560? B.C.) was a Greek slave who was
freed by his master, then rose to philosophical prominence.

"A fish in the hand is worth two in the sea," he wrote.

Aesop's popular parables demonstrated moral lessons and surprise
endings. The special main characters may be animals, but the wisdom
was meant for humans.

For example, in The Dog and the Shadow, a greedy dog dropped and lost
the bone he was carrying when he saw his reflection in the water. "If
you covet all," Aesop taught, "you may lose all."

With the classic Hare and The Tortoise, the arrogant hare sped by the
slow tortoise, then took a nap, waking in time to see the tortoise
cross the finish line first. "Slow but steady wins that race," Aesop
philosophized.

Both monkeys and atheists are intelligent enough not to believe in gods.

Theists are not even that intelligent.
