I NOMINATE Dr. Flonkenstein for a HL&S

... that 'sock' pre-dates Art Deco by *almost* a month.

Whether, it's wow, wow, wow ...
... or bow, wow, wow

Art Deco & Dr. Flonkenstein ARE one and the same person. That is pretty
much *irrefutable* ( ... I am "presuming". ... I haven't confirmed. I
simply KNOW. I posted the evidence, elsewhere.)

For the moment simply assume that I am correct. ... Thence compare
Deco & Flonkenstein in retrospect. Flonkenstein asserts that
'consistency' is important in science.

O.K. .. I accept that. I even went so far as to appologize, so as to
point out my acceptance of "that". ... Consistency, uniformity, flat,
linear seemed to be Flonkenstein's "song".

Ask yourself .. who is more consistent than Flonkey?

Art Deco ... is the answer that screams back at me. .. Art almost
defines the pedantic consistent effort.

The sig blocks of Deco & Flonker are consistently and specifically
different YET they are also strongly and consistently the same. Both
include similar types of elements used and maintained in a consistent,
reliable, manner ...

Imagine that?

----

So let's build upon this exploratory test ....

When I say the word 'Consistent' , who does it bring to mind?

I know! ( ... answering my own question! )

... Brucie Boi.

Now, I shall go away and see if there is a match, here, too...

( Thanks Double-A ... thanks yyyiiinnn...@yahoo.com ) ... Comments,
here?

Nice, HL&S Flonkie ... seems like youv'e been fooling a lot of AUK,

Now that I think of it, Bruce posts off hours to Art & Flunkie ...
probably NOT the same

Regardless, it would be interesting to see how Brucie's stats compare
to Art's & Flonker's ... maybe a good contra-control, test?

Flonkenstein, whether or not you are Art Deco doesn't matter much to
me.

Rather, it is distracting for me to deal with the plausibility of such
right, now ...
Better that I drop my assertion and cease caring about it, one way or
the other.

You are Art Deco, you aren't Art Deco. ... <shrug> ... whatever it
is. There are other, more worthwhile and productive considerations
involving yourself.
To me, that is what is important.

To be honest with you, IMHO this ^^^ is an example of a searing
intellect whose sarcastic wit causes him feelings of guilt. No doubt
from early childhood you desplayed this talent to the disapproval of
the significant parent who then reprimanded you all the while remarking
on how smart you are. Consequently, you hold back on flaring until you
might feel justified ... and then coupled with a feeling of
satisfaction and guilt you either justify your actions or profusely
excuse, self-demean, or apologize to your victim. Your lack of comfort
with this "ability" is all too evident in your consistent presentation
of personal uncertainty. How to win and lose friends....? A good
scientist observes, forms a working hypothesis, creates a series of
valid tests and then states the factual results in unbiased terms.

As you have noted I am all emotion but with a good deal of reason as
well. I can determine whether something is valid or important (as do
we all) and I can then not take some things personally. I am rational
most of the time. But fun and humor are essential ... let me explain.
I was raised in a family where teasing was the way of the warrior.
Learning to dodge the prods and the zaps were my daily lessons. It did
not make me bitter or dampen my joie de vivre ... it did teach me that
teasing was a form of affection, which is not the experience of most
people. My college female friends saw it differently. They let me
know in no uncertain terms that my Bugs Bunny annoyance did not feel
like affection. There was some truth to their observation that behind
my sense of humor was some misdirected anger. Fortunately I am capable
of learning ... but alas, not completely. I can still be a bit
obnoxious at times, especially to my male friends whom I expect to be
tougher than my female friends. Anger might jet out of me one moment
and vanish just as fast in the next. I may become elated at ten A.M.
and deflated by noon. I am fluid, consistently inconsistent ... but I
do try to appear otherwise. When I was a child I recall feeling like
the emotional me was far larger than the physical me... sort of like a
pupa needing to break her shell. Ultimately I was prepared for Usenet
.. don't you think?

<sigh>

With *luck*, I will get around to putting it together and emailing it
to you.

I say it <this way> because it isn't easy to put words to 'perceptual
appreciations'; to realizations with strong contextual content. ... I
need to go back and rediscover those assorted threads. It never comes
out <<the same way>> twice. Much of that emotionality which I employ
is used to sheep-dog the panoramic thought into condensed coherency.

But I will try and probably *do so*. ... just expect to be a bit
patient about it, eh.

O.K. trying to neither act or re-act, in this ... keeping it in limbo.
Oops. Didn't the pope just ban that?

I guess the botton line here is those things that I want to describe
are sooo strikingly factual/objective. ... It's what makes the effort
whorthwhile.

I'll post a brief message, letting you know that I have emailed you in
this regard. ... As in "If you haven't seen that message, I haven't
sent anything. Enough about <this> here & now. Onwards to interacting
otherwise ...

My apologies for being unable to push it.
It just comes when & if it comes ...

Another doomed hopeful leaps boldly into the Usenet scrum:

The Battle of Omdurman
Ye Sons of Great Britain! come join with me
And King in praise of the gallant British Armie,
That behaved right manfully in the Soudan,
At the great battle of Omdurman.
'Twas in the year of 1898, and on the 2nd of September,
Which the Khalifa and his surviving followers will long remember,
Because Sir Herbert Kitchener has annihilated them outright,
By the British troops and Soudanese in the Omdurman fight.
The Sirdar and his Army left the camp in grand array,
And marched on to Omdurman without delay,
Just as the brigades had reached the crest adjoining the Nile,
And became engaged with the enemy in military style.
The Dervishes had re-formed under cover of a rocky eminence,
Which to them, no doubt, was a strong defence,
And they were massed together in battle array
Around the black standard of the Khalifa, which made a grand display.
But General Maxwell's Soudanese brigade seized the eminence in a short
time, And General Macdonald's brigade then joined the firing line;
And in ten minutes, long before the attack could be driven home,
The flower of the Khalifa's army was almost overthrown.
Still manfully the dusky warriors strove to make headway,
But the Soudanese troops and British swept them back without dismay,
And their main body were mown down by their deadly fire-
But still the heroic Dervishes refused to retire.
And defiantly they planted their standards and died by them,
To their honour be it said, just like brave men;
But at last they retired, with their hearts full of woe,
Leaving the field white with corpses, like a meadow dotted with snow.
The chief heroes in the fight were the 21st Lancers;
They made a brilliant charge on the enemy with ringing cheers,
And through the dusky warriors bodies their lances they did thrust,
Whereby many of them were made to lick the dust.
Then at a quarter past eleven the Sirdar sounded the advance,
And the remnant of the Dervishes fled, which was their only chance,
While the cavalry cut off their retreat while they ran;
Then the Sirdar, with the black standard of the Khalifa, headed for
Omdurman. And when the Khalifa saw his noble army cut down,
With rage and grief he did fret and frown;
Then he spurred his noble steed, and swiftly it ran,
While inwardly to himself he cried, "Catch me if you can!"
And Mahdism now has received a crushing blow,
For the Khalifa and his followers have met with a complete overthrow;
And General Gordon has been avenged, the good Christian,
By the defeat of the Khalifa at the battle of Omdurman.
Now since the Khalifa has been defeated and his rule at an end,
Let us thank God that fortunately did send
The brave Sir Herbert Kitchener to conquer that bad man,
The inhuman Khalifa, and his followers at the battle of Omdurman.
Success to Sir Herbert Kitchener! he is a great commander,
And as skilful in military tactics as the great Alexander,
Because he devised a very wise plan,
And by it has captured the town of Omdurman.
I wish success to the British and Soudanese Army,
May God protect them by land and by sea,
May he enable them always to conquer the foe,
And to establish what's right wherever they go.

William Topaz McGonagall, poet and tragedian of Dundee, has been widely
hailed as the writer of the worst poetry in the English language.

A self-educated hand loom weaver from Dundee, he discovered his
discordant muse in 1877 and embarked upon a 25 year career as a working
poet, delighting and appalling audiences across Scotland and beyond.

This site provides a comprehensive guide to the life and works of
William McGonagall, including all his published poems and his
remarkable (and unintentionally hilarious) autobiography. Please click
