Sun in Virgo in the 9th, Moon in Libra conjunct Mercury on the MC. Sag is
rising at 25 deg.
This is also the exact degree within seconds of the ascendant of that wild
Lunar Eclipse. Yahoo!! As Pete says!!
Venus in Leo in the 8th. Jupiter in Cancer in the 7th. Mars in Cap. in the
1st is widely opp the Jupiter. Can be flash fire tempers from time to time.
Saturn in Gemini (Mercury ruled) in the 6th trine the MC but opposed Pluto.
This is perhaps the loggerheads that hits the group from time to time, and
might also mean that "less is more" in regards to posts be a motto for the
group.
Uranus in Aquarius (very appropriate) in the 2nd trine the Moon and Mercury
on the MC in Libra.
Interestingly, that Uranus ret. at 21 Aq. is opposed my Mars in Leo, which
is my Sun/Moon midpoint and conjunct my Jupiter at 24 Leo.
The 10th house would be the moderators and it is ruled by the Mercury in
Libra and the Venus in Leo in the 8th. Hmmnnn...
Neptune looks like the least aspected planet. Any thoughts? Shall I post the
chart up for those who do not want to bother to run it?

======================================= MODERATOR'S COMMENT:
You can thank Pete for the election of chart.
Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment. We had a very small time
window to work with, and it took a lot of jiggling and juggling around
to find a chart that would address the goals of the new group. It's a
lot more difficult than some people might think! :)

I do?
It might share the same degree but it is one whole sign away, so I don't
see that as being significant in terms of the current eclipse. It *is*
however, very close to the degree of the Galactic Centre, which some
astrologers ascribe a certain collective importance to, but which was
quite coincidental. I had my eyes more on that Moon and Mercury up there
on the MC, and a decent Sabian Symbol for the ascendant degree.

Yes that could happen occasionally, but as you say - the opposition is
wide and both Mars and Jupiter are in signs of their exaltation, and
therefore showing their "better" side. Besides, I think one would have
to be naive and idealistic to assume that there would never be the
occasional ruffled feather in a group of this nature, don't you?

Well, it could mean all kinds of things, couldn't it? :)
That SA-PL opposition was something that couldn't be avoided, given the
time-frame we had to work with, so the only thing I could do was put it
where it could do the least amount of damage. Traditionally, planets in
the 6th and 12th houses are accidentally weakened ( unless Saturn is in
the 12th, where he joys, or Mars is in the 6th, where *he* joys ), so I
stuck the opposition there with Saturn in the house opposite to his joy
to try to dilute the mischief.
Then I looked for a day when the Moon ( the public ) might be able to
"mediate" that opposition by sextile and trining both ends, and the 18th
fit the bill.

Well as you can appreciate, I'm sure, I couldn't legislate for the
synastry of everyone who would get involved with the group! :)
21 Aquarius squares my SO-MO midpoint, too...
> The 10th house would be the moderators and it is ruled by the Mercury

> Libra and the Venus in Leo in the 8th. Hmmnnn...
Yes, unfortunately I couldn't do anything about that weak Venus if I
wanted to use the 18th September - and I did!
I needed to put the Moon and Mercury up there on the MC to reflect the
multiple moderation team and the goal of fairness and equinamity that
the group founders wanted to foster, but that meant that Venus would be
stuck in the 8th house. C'est la vie...
At least I managed to give her a trine to Chiron and the ascendant! :)
> Neptune looks like the least aspected planet. Any thoughts?
One final one, although not about Neptune:
Although the Moon-Jupiter square looks like it might pose a problem,
it's good to remember that there is a nice reception between them (
Jupiter in the Moon's sign, and the Moon in Jupiter's terms ), plus
Jupiter is very strong by exaltation and sect, so the aspect will
encourage the best from both, particularly that peregrine Moon, even if
there *is* tension from time to time.
Jupiter signifies the identity of the group, and the Moon shows the
people who populate it...

I know how difficult it is. I left NYC and moved here and I had a bunch of
work coming through shortly and I need a DBA for a bank account to put the
money in.
The window on these things is/was tight. So I had a choice to put a grand
trine of Jup in Cancer/Moon/Venus on the MC or not. :I I was working with
courthouse time (9-5pm only) I understand how at some point in that time
frame, your hands are tied. You can only manipulate the universe so much as
an astrologer.
The little problem was, the Moon would have to be in Scorpio and would rule
the money house and the employee house. Yippeee.... what a ride that was.
Everybody that applied for the job had an Aquarius Moon and some serious
Mars/Pluto energy. Like Scorpio Rising and natal Mars opp a Saturn/Pluto
conjunction was one example.

I thought it was you who responded offline during the wild lunar eclipse
ride on this NG, but guess it was another P.
He copied the whole thread ending in "Texans carry handguns" comment in html
and sent it with one statement:
"Yahoo - Plus! For a better internet experience."
I ROFLOLed!! I get confused on this group. Some of the men are using women's
names and there are a couple of "Petes" or P's and then there is "j" and
"cj".

Yeah. I made a mistake the eclipse point was slightly off in the chart I
created for it which would of course make the Ascendant off also. :/

Oh absolutely. In fact, no ruffled feathers would make for a really boring
newsgroup. We don't have to sling pooh-pooh at each other like one newsgroup
does, but we sure can have a nice fun food fight every so often. ;)

So we have Leo and Scorpio energy for the Venus ruled MC and the moderators.

======================================= MODERATOR'S COMMENT:
Yes, you are correct in assuming the "least aspected planet" refers to the planet which has fewer aspects than any other. As to what that means, I leave it up to the many talented astrologers who wish to reply--DJ
Here is a URL someone posted here earlier this year in regards to
astrocartography:
> i've read a little about the "least aspected planet" but i'm afraid
This URL is better than the one I just posted. You will not have to dig
through too many nested pages with this one. Gets right to the "nut" of it.

;)
There's no Scorpio energy in that Venus. It's in the 8th house, and
traditionally the sign/house intechangeability doesn't fly. The 8th has
to do with other people's assets, amongst other things, and in the case
of the ng, that means the poster's ideas and thoughts, and we moderators
are closely involved with those, no?

Well, I guess we come from different schools of astrological thought. Any
planet found in a house takes on a strong flavoring of the natural rulership
of the house where it is found. In this case, Venus in Leo with a marked
Scorpio raspberry flavor.
Like I said, different schools of thought, but it is a powerful thought that
is valid IMO! Best - LL

Yeah, my apology to Pete -- I was easing out of some confusion at aamod by
calling myself Pete, then wandered over here and started some confusion ...
waaah! But I'm going by "PC" now -- until some moody Personal Computer gets
huffy with me lol

======================================= MODERATOR'S COMMENT:
How about "Politically Correct" Pete?
Most all of them, yes. Several of them I had the info before hiring them,
but did not use it or really analyze it to hire. Later on I found that it
would have been illegal to do so anyway. However, I wish I had used to see
what was coming my way.
One chart in particular was a 20-something with attitude who was with me for
6 years. He had 4 planets in Scorpio in the first house including Mercury,
Neptune, Sun and Venus.
He had an Aquarius Moon. He had Uranus, Mars and Pluto conjunct in Virgo in
the tenth opposite Saturn conjunct Chiron. Think about it!
This is the sort of thing you get when you have the employees ruled by a
Scorpio moon. It is a wonder I am still alive.
LOL
The employee I mentioned above this had his Moon at exactly 21 Aquarius in
my 7th house of partners and my Sun/Moon midpoint, but... you can imagine
what I went through.

Like I said in another response to this, by virtue of it's placement it has
a strong Scorpio flovar by traditional astrological rules for house
placement.
Well, yer takes yer money and yer makes yer choice, but it's fairly well
established that the whole idea of houses taking on the colouring of the
signs they are supposed to correspond with is a "modern" idea, and was never
used by the more "ancient" astrologers.
