I am still working on this. It IS getting more and more interesting
however. Connie Cumming's book on SRs is looking more and more like the
"key" in a lot of ways is predicting marriage, cohabitation or divorce
as I have always suspected -- just never had time to look at a whole
lot of married year SRs to test it out.

Here are a few of the Chinese menu choices that seem to really make a
very clear indicstion of a marriage. She did NOT include Juno, but in
every married year SR, Juno was powerfully highlighted by position or
return or conjunction I have found.
The menu:
Libra or Venus Rising in SR.
Aries rising -- Libra 7th cusp
Moon in the same sign as Sun and especially applying to conj. Sun
Moon in close aspect to Sun (quincux, square or opp) up to 7 degs on
all but quincux.
Planets in crtical degrees of 00 or 29 of any sign -- especially when
it is Venus or the Moon and in Libra or Cancer.
Also the criticals of 4 or 17 of Mutables. 9 or 21 of Fixed amd 13 or
28 of Cardinals.
Lots of retrograde planets.
Mars and Venus is aspect especially conjunction or declination.
Nodes in Aries-Libra especially like at 0-1 coming up spring of 2006 --
if it across the 1st-7th or 5th-11th. In the meantime people may marry
when the Aries-Libra nodes are powerfully palced in their SR's and or
powerfully connected to their natal charts.
Same rising sign as natal chart. Saturn aspecting Sun or Saturn in Leo.
You will find many times the Moon is in the same sign as natal chart or
in Cancer or Libra.
Moon conjunct or /-/ Juno or N. Juno conj Dsc of the SR.
Several planets in rulerships, dignity and fall.
All planets in Libra are an indication like right now Jupiter in Libra
and then if natal Moon or Venus is in Libra or SR Venus is in Libra or
Venus is the same sign as 7th house. 4th or 7th house of SR is Libra.
Mutual receptions: 1st and 4th, 1st and 7th and 4th and 7th rulers in
mutual reception.
I have listed several of C. Cummings menu of requirements in which 100%
of marriage SRs will have at least 5 minimum from the menu.
I have added the Juno myself because I have seen in my own bunch of
marriage SRs, it is powerfully aspected or involved in marriage years
on an angle or is a Juno return or conjunct Venus or Moon for example
during marriage years.
I am also working a lot with Declinations and how those work across
natal synastry and then through the solar return positions.
So I do a chart with 4 columns - Natal 1, SR 1, Natal 2, SR 2 of the
declinations of all the planets and asteroids between the two people.
It is also good when asking -- will I be involved with this person this
year? You can see that in analyzing the natals with the SRs in my
opinion.
I used to use only Precession corrected SR's because I married one year
with Moon, Venus and Sun in Cancer in the 7th house of the PCSR. So for
a beginner how hard could that be to read? So I voted for Precession
corrected SR's to absolutely shout out "marriage". LOL
In the non-precessed SR Uranus was in the 7th quincux Sun conjunct
Venus and Mercury in the 2nd with the 4th ruled by Cancer. Chiron was
on the Ascendant with the NN.
So now that I am much more experienced in reading charts unside down
and backwards -- the non-precessed had the marriage obvious as well,
IMO. So now I use one to reinforce the other in my prediction -- both
saying the same just in a slightly different way.

I have seen a whole bunch of married year solar returns and the Sun is
often in the 7th of one but not the other -- sometimes it is in the
non-precessed and sometimes it is in the 7th in the precessed.
Moon and venus powerful aspects are common -- like SR Moon in hard
aspect to Venus and Moon in the sign it was natally also or in Libra or
Cancer and/or mutually recepted. Also SR Moon to natal Moon and Venus.
When you look at a bunch of the marriage year SRs -- you start to see
the signature they share (Pallas is pattern reception) and the patterns
start to be very obvious as in Connie Cumming's book on SRs.
Anyone know if she is still around? She did not use the asteroids and I
see a lot of very specific asteroid signatures as well in theses charts.
Need to make a list like she did.
Vesta (vows) often in the 9th, Juno (marriage contract) often on the
Asc/dsc or in the 9th configured with Moon or Venus. And Chiron is
powerfully placed as well in most all of them -- on the Asc or SR Uranus
or Pluto opp natal Chiron, etc.

BTW, I'm not sure what you mean by "precessed" Solar Return charts.
That's why I posted my Plain Jane SR.
I have worked with precessed and non-precessed secondary progressions,
but to me a solar return can't be processed.
I suspect you & I have different ideas of what a "Solar Return" chart is.
To me, a Solar Return chart is just a regular transit chart that just
happens to have the Sun exactly conjunct your natal Sun - no procession
corrections are required.
Are talking about some progression chart (secondary,
tertiary,...whatever) for the day of your solar return?

I am working with your and your wife's SR marriage data but in the
meanwhile -- this question of yours. Precession corrected solar returns
are sidereal returns expressed in tropical language and the Sun will be
about 1 degree forward of it natal position when the sun returns.
Ray Merriman swears by Precession Corrected SR and respect him and I
agreed with him for a few years, but lately I have come to doing both
Precessed and Non-Precessed and reading them both and with the natal on
the outside of a bi-wheels. They both are amazingly telling but in a
different way.
A was speaking with a friend in San Diego last evening and she was
asking me to look at her son's SR who is losing his job. She mentioned
that in Celeste Teal's book on Planetary Triggers, she mentions that
she uses both, She says, in paraphrasing my friend describing what
Celeste says in her book -- it is like two people watching an auto
accident. They will see the same event but each will have a slightly
different take on it.
I love that description as I look at so many SRs both precessed and
non-precessed of the same year of marriage. Ray Merriman's first SR
book was late '70s and there were no PCs to do the kind of calculations
we can do today and no asteroids. I bought my first astrology program
for an Apple II in 1976, but the programs were so limited and slow, so
would take days to do all the charts I do in a couple of hours here or
one would have to hire ACS or ANS out in CA.
Computers that can do charts six ways from Sunday is just phenomenal so
computing power has done a lot for astrological research.

the first example of a powerful non-precessed SR of a marriage year. I
use Placidus except in high lats and find planets, asteroids or nodes
riding a cusp is especially energized.
I have invited some friends over from another chat group that sort of
got disrupted by that eclipse and maybe a few will add some input also.
I still have the Precessed and Todds and then even more interesting is
the interaction between the two people's SRs for a year of connection
and/or marriage.

(I find Placidus house cusps powerful energy points when planets or

Non-Precessed SR and her natal chart with SR Saturn in Pisces, which is
square the SR Moon conj Jupiter square natal Pluto. So there is a
T-square of SRSaturn opp natal Pluto square SRMoon. Moon in SR is
critical at 16.5 mutable (17).
It is especially important because I have seen hard Saturn-Pluto
aspects in my own 2 marriages. In this case, it has to do with the 29
Pisces 7th and the 29 Sag 4th house cusps of the SR for the marriage
year.
I'll try to look at Todd's marriage SR also soon.

Great to see you here. I have been working on looking at you and the
man you were asking me about -- without going into any personal detail,
I find using one person's SR (both precessed and non-precessed) on the
inner wheel and the other person's natal on the outside can really give
a lot of clues of whether the two will have some sort of relationship
that year. i thought I would go ahead and post it here so others could
benefit perhaps from the techniques.
First I look at the natal synastry and composite and then I do the four
SRs (precessed and non-presessed) and then flip flop them back and
forth with the two natals. I also do the quads (4 chart wheels) six
ways from Sunday. Thank God for computers to do all this work is
seconds!! It sure beats doing astrology in the '80's !!
Because your Moon in Scorpio and is conjunct his N. Sun -- it will be
so in every one of his SRs forever. Also because his N. Venus is
conjunct your N. Sun, his Venus will also be so in all of your solar
returns forever. This is one reason why that cupid (Sun-Venus) and
Moon-Sun are such powerful synastry.
Anyway, you and your friend are born only 17 days apart but in
different years so a lot of planets will be conjunct anyway every year
from Mercury on out. So we will use really tight orbs and especially
planets that are brought to an angle by virtue of the other person's SR
and the Sun and Moon.
Unfortunately, if the birth time is a few minutes off -- like 10
minutes or so -- the angles and the Placidus cusps will be off a couple
of degrees and therefore -- prediction is hampered by this since this
method of prediction relies on critical degrees - like 0 and 29 of any
sign. Also I use very tight orbs to angles and cusps, so...
Because you have a Cupid aspect to begin with with him -- your Sun is
conjunct his N. Venus, that will always be with you in your SRs with
him. Your SR inner wheel and his natal outer wheel.
I had a friend who had Kepler software and he ran the recitification
capability on my man friend who told me 5 pm and from his marriage and
divorce and a couple of other dates, he got thousands more hits on the
dates I gave him with 5:11 pm, so I revised everything to that time and
I have a feeling it is very, very close to accurate now.
Mine own is 9:19 am in an army hospital, so those guys do everything by
the clock. Also from years of watching major progressions to my MC and
Asc -- I know that time to be correct.
You friends non-precessed SR chart for November 1 and yours for
November looks suspiciously like a marriage or cohabitation chart for
the two of you.
His info first:
Aries rising 16 and Nodes stradling the Asc/Desc at NN 12 Aries
Moon in Libra in the 7th with Cancer (Moon) ruling 7th, 4th and 5th
house of SR
Venus conj Pluto at 23-25 Sag opp Juno at 23 Gemini -- 9th-3rd That
Pluto 9th (legal matters) opp Juno (marital contract) is very tight at
0 degrees.
His SR Sun is in the 7 house and Saturn is in Leo in the 5th.
Jupiter is Scorpio at 1 Scorpio is conjunct his Sun at 8.5 Scorpio.
Your Natal Moon is 9 Scorpio.
Juno is trine his Moon in Libra.
SR Sun // Chiron
It looks like it may well be you that he marries next year -- since his
SR Moon at 22 Sag is on your SR MC conjunct Ceres opp your SR Juno at
22 Gem retro right near the SR IC. His natal Mars is on your SR Saturn
in Leo in the 5th. You have 17 mutables (critical) Asc/Dsc Pisces/Virgo
and Mercury is in the 9th retro in Sag trine his Mars conjunct your SR
Saturn.
You SR Chiron is critical at 29 Capricorn and that is square his natal
ascendant -- perfect connection for a connecting year.
You have the classic SR Moon /-/ Venus and quincux.
He has Moon sextile Venus at 1 deg. orb.
SR Moon // Jupiter and Uranus
SR Vesta (vows) is in 4th house in Cancer square SR Moon in Libra 7th
and trine your Sun on the cusp of the 9th.
T. Uranus intercepted in the 12th is trine his Sun in the SR 7th
SR Pluto conjunct your SR Ceres on the MC opp you SR Moon conjunct Juno
in Gem (Mercury ruling the 7th) on the IC.
This is a really powerful picture for marriage -- plus nurturing super
Ceres conjunct Pluto opp Juno sexual wife/nurturer with emotions and
intellect (Moon in Gemini) -- etc. but it also draws all that natal
Scorpio energy between you plus the mental, verbal Gemini with Pluto
transforming you both.
T. Saturn at 10 Leo will square both your Moon and his Sun and hard T.
Saturns are common when people take on the serious responsibility of
marriage between them.
The connection is very powerful with his natal Moon in Sag on your
Ceres opp Juno across your MC/IC and Pluto close by to make the
transformation.

Normally I see a lot of 9th house emphasis anyway because of the legal
documents that must be signed with a legally contracted marriage
partnrship -- also Vesta (vows) and Juno (marriage).
The 9th house is the 2nd marriage (11th is 3rd marriage) although there
will always aspects and often a strong emphasis on the 7th house.
You have a stellium in the 7th in Scorpio of Mer conj Nep con Moon very
tight (8-9 Scorpio) and then Sun at 25. You have Sag ruling the 9th
house with Placidus at 28.5 and critical. Venus conj Juno conj Jupiter
in Capricorn are there and tight at 2-4 degs Cap. Saturn at 14 Cap is
near your MC at 18 Cap.
With Mars at 18 Cancer opp Saturn at 14 and MC at 18 -- you will have
to be careful of cruelty in your home/career/parenting/marriage. The
anitidote I have found for Mars in the 4th is to have some sort of home
based business.
You and this man have the exact aspect frequently seen in marriages --
Asc/Dsc is switched between you and yours/his within 2 degrees. He has
not interception in Placidus while you do and it is Aries in the 12th
and Libra in the 6th.
Your NPSR this year has 5 Virgo on the 7th and that is his N Uranus at
4.5, Vesta at 8.5, Juno at 10 and Pluto at 12 Virgo. So it will be
quick and unexpected when it comes. Uranus/Vesta = unexpectedly quick
vows on your 7th house cusp, while his N. Venus conj your N. Sun at 26
Scorpio falls on your 9th house cups for the 2nd marriage.
Also you both have very high Dec Venus -- your SR is 26S31, your Natal
is 25S23 // his N is 25S04 and his SR is 26S57.
Your N. Mars is 24N00! So... gurlfriend... this is going to be a very
big year, IMO! (I allow 1.3 or so for Decs and they arr VERY important
in SR between the SR and the Natal). You can have a // between Venus

I think I have all the places of birth and SR places straight now. You
have to realize us Southern Americans are clueless for the most part
about Canandian towns and provences. The new data alters somewhat the
reading and I will try to adjust the reading here shortly. Still
powerful connections but not screaming marriage like before.
I had to go to adult "time out for speeders" Driver's Ed for two
nights, so I had little time for astrology posting. I was able to guess
the teacher's birth year based on what he told about being a high-speed
bicycler, just like my Mr. Man born 5/1960. Ha! He was floored --
12/1959. He saw me reading astro charts in class and asked if I could
tell him about Sag's, then I did a quick Sun Sign b.s. thing, but that
endorphine story of 120 mile bike rides a day -- let me know he has a 6
Scorpio Neptune and born in 1959 and only 5 months before Mr. Man. i
know that period of time '59-'60 like the back of my hand.
The whole class was like, WOW! Can you read our palms? FOTFLOL!

Thanks for the compliment, Twilight. It is many years reading charts and
asking people questions about this and that that is in their chart like
I did with your Hi-Dek Mars -- maybe it is not anger or work -- it is
your sex drive!! LOL
Anyway, I re-did all the charts. Pluto has been messing with your man
friend's Moon (sitting on it at 23 Sag along with the transneptunian
Hades (junk, vile stuff, filth, antiques, old situations, etc.)
The thing is in his non-precessed SR, it is in the 12th opp Juno in the
6th -- for work contracts -- or sitting on his Moon -- power issues with
a woman, mother or work partner or he is dealing with old subconscious
garbage he has not dealt with properly in the past.
In his precessed SR for 11/1/05 -- it is across his IC/MC axis so family
pressures interfering with a relationship? He has Moon conjunct Jupiter
at 1 Scorpio in the 2nd house of the SR. So money from the passing of a
mother Pluto conjunct Venus in the IS opp Juno on the MC?
Right now Venus is opp Pluto at 23 Sag Retro and if you have Juno
involved as you both have in November at 23 Gemini -- there is an
undercurrent of intensity regarding sex (intense or controlled and
withheld) and a commitment to marriage or living together during this
period is possible.
Sex, money and shared possessions as well as a lot of self-analysis that
requires periods of retreat and separation in order for inner processing
to occur and you may return to one-to-one again.
How do I know this? Well, my lover and I have a composite chart with 23
Sag on the IC and Sun at 23 Gem, Venus (20) and Mars (18) are on the MC
(23Gem27).
My Mr. Man has his Juno at 22.2 Sag and that is my Vertex, and right
where Pluto is moving back and forth presently in my 5th (his 2nd) trine
my Jupiter at 24 Leo on my Asc. -- So, we come together for a period of
extreme intensity only to withdraw for a few weeks to process what we
want to do about the transformation that is occurring -- if anything.
So what you have in your SRs is this same configuration of Pluto at 23
Sag conj Ceres 20 Sag opp Juno at 22 Gem across your MC/IC and his natal
Moon is 22 Sag. So there are issues of powerful intensity and
transformation and nurturing that will be playing out in the coming
birthday year.
This is especially true in your cases because his Venus at 25 Scorp is
conjunct your Sun (ruled by Pluto-Mars). His Progressed Sun at 22 Sag is
moving to conjunct his natal Moon, so there is a whole new chapter of
his life opening up and it looks as though you will be included. This
major progression is November 17, 2005 -- right after both your SRs.
He also has Progressed Venus conjunct his progressed Neptune so he will
be romantically in love going into February 2006. You have Prog. Venus
opp Uranus June 8, so you have a big "CHANGE" coming in your love life
shortly it seems.

the rules laid out by Connie Cumming's in her book, Solar Returns. I
have added the asteroids.
One of the big indicators is planets in Cancer and Libra and since your
Sun is in Libra which is also in Fall, you start off every year with
extra points for marriage/divorce. ;-)
Starts off with your non-precessed with same rising sign as natally --
Aquarius. Then you have:
Sun in Libra -- Fall
Moon at 0 Taurus -- critical and in exhaltation
Venus at 29 Libra -- critical and at home
Mars is Scorpio 22 critical (1 deg from 21 fixed) and at home
Jupiter in Sag at home
Pluto in 29 Scorpio -- critical and home
You had the classic Venus opp Moon (both critical and /-/) as well in
this SR.
Sun ruling the 7th house in SR is in the 8th house in Libra conjunct
Mercury and Chiron. Mercury sign is intercepted in the 7th (virgo) and
Gemini rules the 4th and 5th.
NN is in Libra conjunct Venus (critical and home).
Par of Fortune in critical at 29 Leo in the 7th house.
Saturn is intercepted in the 1st house in Pisces and quincux critical
Pluto at home (Scorpio) in the 9th house of legal documents and foreign
places.
Jupiter in rulership in Sag is in the 10th house and ruling the 10th,
11th and Juno in the 11th in Sag.
Your Precessed SR has many of the same indications of planets in signs
-- but Moon is 5 Taurus and NOT critical at 0 like in the
non-precessed.
This chart is flipped with your rising Aqua is the 7th and Leo is the
1st -- another indicator -- is same rising or rising sign on the 7th
house cusp.
Moon at 5 Taurus (exalted) on right on the MC at 4 Taurus. Venus is
critical at 29 Libra opposing on the IC. Jupiter in Sag is right on the
5th house cusp (powerful spot) and Juno is in the 5th house.
Uranus a ruler of the 7th is in the 6th in Cap square the Venus on the
IC.
Chiron at 4 Libra in the 3rd is exactly quincux the Moon on the MC.
They both have many of the same indications, but in pair of SRs, I
think the non-precessed has a few more points and indications --
principally the 0 degree Moon /-/ Venus and the very tight opposition.
In ties to your natal the Precessed with Moon on the MC, brings your
natal Moon to conjunct the Asc of the PCSR and your Mercury in Scorpio
on the IC. You were having your Vesta return in the 3rd. SR Chiron and
Saturn were on your 8th house Saturn and all three were Ret.
Some of those same things exist in the Non-Precessed, but the big
indication is your Moon coming to exactly the 7th house cusp of the SR
and your P of F is exact on the MC. The SR Chiron is Libra is conjunct
the SR Venus in both types of SRs studied here.
As far as indications between you and and your wife's SR -- in the
Precessed versions -- your SR Asc is conjunct her SR Dsc.
In your PCSR her Sun and Venus in Scorpio comes to the IC and her P of
F is exact on the 5th house cusp. You were both having your Saturn
return with Chiron conj and Ret. with Saturn on your natal Saturns in
these SRs for the marriage year.
That's about it for all those connections to get married.
