Autocrats in the Middle East, 2011-2012 (Neptune opp. Regulus)

I am just throwing out a thought here.

In December we saw the possibility of Neptune squaring Algol giving
mundane consequences. If that was not a pure coincidence, it would
seem sensible that one could also see mundane effects from oppositions
to Regulus. Currently, or recently, or soon, we have a sum total of
oppositions to Regulus including Neptune, Mars, Chiron and Mercury.

If Regulus represents not only royals but also various autocrats, then
it is possible we could tie the current oppositions to Regulus to the
situation in the Middle East.

If so, we are probably at a high point this late winter, early spring,
but the period recently initiated will not be over until Neptune final
ingress into Pisces 2012. Regulus will be moving into Virgo the same
year, but sometime during 2012 we can expect the opposition to wear
off, unless using very generous orbs.

It shall be interesting to see if this holds. We should be seeing a
lot of commotion the next few days, with Mars opposing, with a more
peaceful period between April 4th and June 2nd (when Neptune is in
Pisces and Regulus is still in Leo).

Perhaps, and possibly, Italy's Berlusconi would be among those
affected by this change. Italy is a European democracy, but the
Italian PM has had things going for him, like immunity against
prosecution, which is a bit down the autocratic lane.

Regulus definitely an important consideration, to be looked up in the

Speculating further on a Regulus connection for these events, I would
not consider it likely that the revolts would spread as far as China.
China is no democracy, but like Libya--or North Korea--it is not under
one single ruler, but ruled by a kind of nomenklatura, which would not
fall under "autocrat ruler", not being a single person.

European constitutional monarchies, though formally "autocratic" in
some sense of the idea, I also consider not to become involved. There
is simply not that kind of social tension in these countries,
especially not if we compare with the Middle East/North Africa.

Morocco is an interesting case, though. It is somewhere inbetween the
European monarchies and states like Egypt (during Mubarak), Libya et
al. There have been protests there, but it doesn't seem to evolve in
the same manner as elsewhere.

Speaking more of dates, but letting go for the moment of Regulus, the
Visual Astrology Newsletter (see more in footnote) says the following:

”For Kepler, adapting Persian theory, the current middle eastern
upheavals would be indicated by the next Jupiter-Saturn opposition,
the midpoint of the cycle, which takes place on 28 March 2011.” [1]

Interestingly, this happens less than a week before Neptune enters
Pisces. If this opposition between Jupiter and Saturn is the major
force behind events, then one could assume that most of the major
changes would be over and done with around the end of this month. If
Neptune is relevant to some degree, we may see some final changes
occurring during June 2011 through February 2012.
