Given the changing nature of the digital landscape, Usenet activity is not what it was and as subscribers to this group may have noted, Aamod has been affected as well.
The current moderation is for that reason contemplating semi-promotional content to be allowed in the group--for free, that is--, which would require a slight policy change. Promotional content (ads) are allowed by policy as is, for a fee, but this would be a more liberal policy. Notice that the point with the change would not be to make money from the group, which is sort of difficult with "for free", but that the point is to vitalise discussion.
You may contact me (Kjell Pettersson) directly, or share your thoughts in this thread. Thoughts and ideas from previously active contributors will carry more weight when the decision is made.
No decision has, however, yet been made, no schedule for this change is therefore in existence, but should it become reality, there will of course be further updates in the matter.
