Thanks so much
A book which may be of interest in interpreting transits is called The
Changing Sky. It tells how to interpret the transiting planet by
house and sign and aspect I believe. Another book which I recommend
that will cover much of astrology in general, including transits, is
called The Compleat Astrologer. Yes that is the way it is spelled.
Thank you for your answers.
Claude: I am in my "very early 50's". I am not really a beginner,
as I can determine what a lot of the aspects and angles mean in
relation to a natal chart as long as they are drawn in by the program
that creates it.
The bi-wheel confused me because I just
don't know how determine the angles of the two charts. I hope I am
making sense. I am confused because in most natal charts the
angles are drawn in when charts are drawn and that makes it easier for
me whereas the
bi-wheel does not have those angles shown.
I have Solarfire 7, and when a bi-wheel is constructed, there are not
any
angles shown so I would have to figure them out myself, which I cannot
do
at this point in my learning. Therein lies the problem.
BikerMagi: I have heard of the Changing Sky. Isn't that a book
by Stephen Forest?
A.B. I will see if I can find The Compleat Astrologer. Sometimes out
of print books show up here and there.
Thanks again for your responses and I hope I clarified my issues in
the blurb
above.
I
I cut and pasted this answer, can you explain a bit more because this
interests me.:
Claude Said:
Then, you might be able to see better which aspects, if any,
current transits are making to your natal chart. It is a case of
simple geometry: If you have a trine between two planets in your
natal chart, then, automatically, a transiting planet to one of
these planets will also make a trine to the other. As they used
to say in school: Two things equal to a third one are equal to
each other.
Thanks claude
You can buy an aspect finder, it is made of clear plastic.
You place it over the chart and it shows you the aspects
hope this helps you.

Excuse me if I might be a little out of the subject but I could not
help but appreciate the way you extend a helping hand to beginners and
semi beginners, may I suggest that each one of us make a list of the
books and tools that helped him most in the study of astrology and the
most common ones are to be put in one list same as web-sites ready for
use to any one who needs it in this group, Thank you.
OK, then. What I get from this is that you have a bit of a handle on
interpreting aspects, but fail to see how they are formed.
You need a geometry lesson.
Solar Fire uses aspect sets, and if you can find that part of the program's
setup you can look at the aspects and their angles and orbs.
Solar Fire also does what is called a "Synastry Chart", which is an aspect chart
for a biwheel. That should be informative.
I wounldn't even attempt to make all the l'il coloured lines in the middle of
the chartwheel for a biwheel - too messy to be useful.

I'm still wading my way through solarfire, but I am aware of the
synastry chart, I'll try that. Thank you.
....Every astrologer should learn to read the ephemeres....and solar
& lunar eclipse cycles.....the horary chart is a photograph of
moving events and energies. As we will see soon toward the end of
this year.
