I kid you not, everyone, he said in another thread that the Cabluck photo
is of the north side of the Triple Underpass. Oh never mind Google Earth,
Google Maps, Mapquest, etc. all of which plainly show the Triple Underpass
as being on the west side of Dealey Plaza, and plainly show it to run more
or less north-south. For Saintly Oswald's claim to be true, Main would
have to be a north-south street running through Dealey Plaza, which it
quite obviously isn't. Oh, and never mind all those testimonies and
thousands of documents which refer to the various directions in Dealey,
such as saying that the south side of the TSBD faced Elm (and thus Main
and Commerce as well), that the east side faced Houston (which *is* close
to a north-south street), and all other sorts of documentation clearly
indicating directions. And then he had the unmitigated gall to tell me,
of all people, that I had the plaza oriented wrong, even though I've lived
less than three hours away from Dealey Plaza since 1967 and have been
there many, many, many times.
Apparently he must also think that I-35, which is just a little farther
west of the Triple Underpass (and is in fact the very next bridge the
streets pass under) is an east-west interstate. The odd
numbered-interstates are the north-south ones, at least generally. They
certainly are in Dallas. The two east-west interstates are even-numbered,
I-20 and I-30, and the latter most definitely runs approximately the same
direction as Commerce, Elm, and Main, the three streets that run through
Dealey Plaza before converging into one street, Commerce, west beyond the
plaza. I've driven down all three of those streets many, many, many
times, and I think I know which direction they go by now. ;-)
