I have just been watching a documentary on Monty's WW2 campaigns and
included were people from the allied command who knew him and also
knew many of the other senior officers.
Some of them were used to read aloud letters between Monty and other
people, many of them to Ike.
In one letter to Ike he requested copy of Ike's books on his own WW2
exploits as he expected to be asked questions on his opinion of the
contents.
Ike replied that there was plenty of time as the book would not be
released until Nov. 22nd.
They did not say what year this was.
So many things seem to have occurred on this date thru the years.
