the show ' mythbusters ' on the discovery channel did a test to see if
they could make a magic bullet made out of ice, i guess one theorist
believes JFK was shot from the knoll with a liquid bullet which melted
away in his head, they managed to make an ice bullet (froze it with
liquid nitrogen) but it wouldnt hold up, then they used a gelatin and
it only made a 1 inch indentation in the simulated human body. then
they used hamburger, went 2/4 inch....then they made an umbrella gun,
powered by a Co2 canister from a pellet gun, they used a small piece
of metal as i recall....went straight through to the bone...imagine if
poison was used with it! they used a rifle very similar to a manlicher
carcano, and a revolver... and they sent a request to the CIA asking
for any information they had on a disappearing bullet, they got a
reply stating something to the effect of "our records are exempt from
the freedom of information act, if we had such information about such
materials if such materials existed we could not give you information
about such materials" ya uh huh.

The tv series CSI (Vegas) did show where a frozen beef bullet was used.
However, the maggots in the decomposing human body were of a 'bovine'
variety and therefore, proof of the beef bullet's existence (they confirmed
it with a test, etc.).

If you think of conspiracy and multiple shooters, the combination of
frangible bullets from more than one rifle, from different angles, with
simultaneous hits, would render tracing the origin of shots confusing and
you'd get the same result.

BTW, I've got some info on Jean Soutre for your other post (check it out
tonight or tomorrow).

looking forward to it, is he connected to Lucien Sarti ? it seems that
no one here gives much credence to the french corsican connection.

on the same note -

"David went on to say there were four shots fired:

The first shot was fired from the rear and struck President Kennedy in
the back.

The second shot also came from the rear, and as David stated, “hit the
other man in the car” (Governor Connally).

The third shot came from the front and struck President Kennedy in the
head.

The fourth shot was fired from the rear and missed the automobile
entirely. It is likely this is the bullet or bullet fragment which
struck the concrete curb on the north side of Main Street near the
Triple Overpass, striking onlooker James Tague with either a fragment
of concrete or a fragment of the bullet. "

if this is true where did the bullet that hit him in the throat come
from?

also -

"After a certain time, Rivele agreed to hand over all he knew about
the assassination to the FBI. Unfortunately the FBI took no apparent
action on the material whatsoever. Rivele’s research was dismissed by
the public when The Men Who Killed Kennedy aired, due to the fact that
the two other men named (Sauveur Pironti and Roger Bocognani) came
forward and provided solid alibis."

what alibi's where those?

I'm sceptical about 'ice bullets', especially back in 1963.
