Some years ago I recall reading the Dallas Police inventory list in the Warren volumes, and I'm certain it listed only two cartridges, not three. Does anyone know where in the volumes the inventory list appears. I have read through the titles for each Commission Exhibit through www.historymatters.com to no avail.

Here's a version that's in the Commission Documents:

http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/viewer/showDoc.do?docId=62437&relPageId=133

You need to keep clicking backwards to get to the first page.

Hope this helps!

I believe the ALTERED evidence list is part of CE 2003...... But that
phoney altered list has had the number of shells found altered from "two'
to "three" ..........

J Gary Shaw found a copy of the original evidence inventory list that was
typed up at about 10:30pm on 11 /22 /63.

That ORIGINAL evidence inventory list shows the so called "palm print" was
ome of the items that was sent to the FBI that night. Which of course
blows the official lie that Day never sent them the lifted "print" and he
never told the FBI that he had found a palm print..... That original
evidence list exposes the DPD's and the FBI's conspiring to frame lee
Oswald.

Thanks, Walt. I found the inventory page that I recalled reading some years ago, and sure enough, it lists "2 spent 6.5 hulls ('found under window')" at:
www.history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh24/html/WH_Vol24_0175b.htm.

Oops! Make that

http://www.history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh24/html/WH_Vol24_0175.htm.

Note that there's a check mark next to each item in the inventory list of
evidence, suggesting it wasn't a typing error, but an actual confirmed
counting of the evidence. - prw

Thanks Peter..... but the link doesn't work..... I believe I found what
you're looking at and it's one page of CE 2003 (page 252) in Volume 24
.... If that's what you're referring to ....Notice the date on the
evidence list is 11 /26 /1963

That is NOT the original evidence list ...... You're right there are only
two spent shells listed, just as on the ORIGINAL evidence list .... But
there's more important information listed on the original list that was
typed up at about 10:30pm on 11 /22 /63.

J Gary Shaw found a copy of the original evidence list in the files of the
Texas Rangers and published it on page 159 of his book "Cover Up".
That's the list that exposes the FACT that the DPD and the FBI conspired
to frame Lee Oswald.

Peter.... Is the list you're looking at IDENTICAL in every respect to
the evidence list that is published on page 260 of Vol 24?

As I recall, the list in question is a list of items sent the FBI. If I'm
not mistaken, the WC was aware of this discrepancy, and got Fritz to admit
he held onto one of the spent cartridges.

A more curious situation, IMO, is that the DPD failed to make a list of
items taken into evidence on 11-22-63, and explain the ultimate status of
those items. As a consequence, items like the Coke bottle, lunch bag and
wood trim from the window frame pretty much disappeared. For all we
know--and will ever know--the DPD found" Lee Harvey Oswald's fingerprints
on the Coke bottle, then discovered the bottle was Bonnie Ray Williams,
and made it disappear. Sorta joking. Kinda. Maybe.

That was a cover story...... By getting Fritz to "admit" that he
kept CE 543 they were able to weave a tale that the public would find
acceptable. In reality Fritz had been a cop long enough to know
instantly that CE 543 could not have been fired that day, and he
didn't want the FBI to see it. Once he knew that LBJ was in control
and the FBI would help in the cover up then he acknowledged that he
had kept one of the spent shells.

But the "2" spent shells is NOT the powder in the powder keg, in this
case. There is irrefutable proof that the DPD and the FBI
conspired to frame Lee Oswald on that original evidence list.

The link works now.....and thank you for your effort ...but that list
is dated 11 /26 /63 and it doesn't even look like the original
list...... The original list is not on a lined form......

That is not true. Fritz was not that stupid. He knew it could have been
fired that day. You only think it wasn't because you know absolutely
nothing about guns. It got dented after it had been fired. It was the
second shot fired from the sniper's nest.

All you can do is guess and make up elaborate scenarios.

IF it had been fired that day.....How could it have been damaged?

Duh!..... I asked you HOW.... CE 543 could have been damaged after it was
fired? I believe we've already determined that it could not have been
damaged by extracting or ejecting the spent shell.... So let's not go
through that nonsense again. I truly wish that there was an honest
individual who owns a Carcano with whom to discuss this aspect of the
case. Unfortunately you fall far short of qualifing in both
departments.....

I'm not interested in going down some foggy trail that leads deeper
into the swamp. I'm looking for someone who has the book "Cover Up"
by J.Gary Shaw who can scan the ORIGINAL evidence list that is printed
on page 159 and put it on a website, where it can be seen by
everybody.

I've been praying that Peter Whitmey could provide a link to that
original evidence list, but I'm afraid that what he believes to be the
original list is not that original list. The list that he provides a
link to was created on 11 / 26 /63.

I don't understand your request. You don't trust the original document so
you want a scan from a conspiracy book. Why don't YOU scan it in from the
book? Oh, I get it, you don't have the book. Then where do you think you
can find it? Do you think there is even one real researcher here who has a
copy of the book? Anyway you'd find some way to complain. Maybe you aren't
happy with a 300 DPI scan.

I've only explained it 10 times to you. By not pulling the bolt back far
enough to eject the shell. So the bolt tries to load the empty and the
lip hits the mouth of the chamber.

You know NOTHING about the dent.... You're right about the
mechanical action that can CRUMPLE the lip of a spent shell if the
shooter doesn't retract the bolt far enough to eject the spent
shell....and then tries to close the bolt with the spent shell still
in the rifle.....BUT.... and this is the pertinent point....CE 543 was
NOT CRUMPLED.

I'll type this real slow so you can understand ...... CE 543 is bent
in a manner that can only happen when the spent (empty) shell is
OUTSIDE of the rifle. There is NO mechanical action involved in the
firing or extraction of the cartridge that can dent the shell as it is
seen in the photos. Ya Dig?

I have a copy of the original evidence list that was typed up at DPD
headquarters at about 10:30 pm on the evening of 11 / 22 /63, but it's
about third or fourth generation and it isn't as crisp and clear as I
would likeit to be.

I could simply reproduce the exact wording on that list and show
irrefutable proof that the DPD and the FBI framed Lee Oswald.....
BUT.... There would be some irrational and KIA types who would argue
that I didn't reproduce the wording accurately because on the
twentyfifth line down there is a comma after the word " lab" and I
failed to type that comma.

If you have J.Gary Shaw's book " Cover up" you can see that original
evidence list on page 159 .......

Yes, I do. Do you think it is better quality than your copy of the
original?

There have been a few times where I had to retype some document because it
was so deteriorated.

I've seen a shell get its lip dented times by not being ejected the bolt

Geeeez..... I think that you're just playing dumb........Aren't you?

We both agree that a spent shell can be dented if it's not ejected and the
shooter tries to rechamber the empty shell. When that happens the open
mouth of the shell can hit the rear of the barrel and become "dented".
BUT ....it is NOT the same TYPE of dent that is seen on CE 543.

When the lip of a spent shell is pushed into a collision with the rear of
the barrel the lip CRUMPLES.

The dent on CE 543 is a CREASE type dent, and there is nothing in the
firing or ejecting of the spent shel that can cause a CREASE type dent.

Maybe you can compare it to this:

In an attempt to hide these problems the FBI developed the 5 rolls of the
DPD film, and then *DESTROYED THE NEGATIVES that showed those items of
evidence that WERE DISCOLORED BY THE BROWN FINGERPINT INK.*

*They also DESTROYED NEGATIVES which showed times of evidence that had
been SWITCHED, ALTERED, or DESTROYED while in their custody.* The
remainder of the original 5 rolls of film was spliced together into

*TWO ROLLS*, which were then copied and sent to the Dallas Police
Department. *The Dallas City Archives has copies ot the 2 rolls available
for inspection, and THE SPLICINGS can be see easily.*

Here is a link to an inventory list in the DPD archives that seems to
match partial images I've seen of the Gary Shaw image. The DPD claims
"date unknown." Notice the number of spent shells has not been changed to
"3" yet.

This evidence list is consistent with the Nov. 26, 1963 evidence list I
cited above, on April 29, both listing two spent shells recovered, not
three. Thanks for adding it. - prwhitmey

Thank you Squinty,..... That is the ORIGINAL evidence inventory list that
was typed up at about 10:30pm on the night of 11 / 22 / 63. This is a
valuable piece of evidence for anybody who wants to know for a fact that
the Dallas police and the FBI framed Lee Oswald. With this list and a
couple of other pieces of evidence an honest person can KNOW that it was
the authorities who were the liars and not Lee Oswald.

How does that differ from the version in Cover-up which says 2 shells?
I bet that was awfully had for him to find. It may have taken him as
long as 2 seconds.

Perhaps you should take a closer look at the two evidence lists side
by side, Peter.

The list that appears as an item in CE 2003 is an altered version of
the original evidence list that was typed up at about 10:30 on 11 /
22 / 63 . The list in CE 2003 is easy to identify because as you
pointed out the numeral "2" has been altered and made into a "3". That
altered list was created sometime on or before 11 /26 / 63.

This is clearly evident when the original list of 11 /22 is compared
to the list of 11/26.....

Notice item number six on the lists...... That item is a .38 caliber
pistol.. The original list says:

1 .38 Cal pistol, 2" barrel,

The altered list says......

1 .38 Cal pistol 2" barrel, S&W, Rev.
sandblast finish, brown wooden handles
ser. # 510210. Rel. to FBI Agent 11-22-63
and again on 11-26-63.

So it's quite obvious that the original evidence list was typed up on
11 / 22 / 63. and then "updated" by merely adding info to it on 11 /
26 /63. Do you agree?

You're not looking Peter...... Hint:..... What do you know about
the palm print? Didn't the DPD swear that they never informed the
FBI about the partial palm print "off underside gun barrel near end
of foregrip on rifle C 2766."? And didn't the FBI swear that they
were never notified about any lifted palm print.??

Anthony Marsh

But I think the important distinction is that they did not update the
report by typing a completely new sheet. They took the existing sheet
and added text to it and altered the "2" manually to turn it into a "3."

Hoorah!! for Marsh..... Who just scored a bulls eye..... You're
absolutely 100% on the mark, Tony.

To clearly see the information and the impact of that information, the
two evidence sheets should be compared side by side . and a copy of CE
737 ( the so called palm print) should also be at hand.

When both evidence sheets are at hand, along with CE 637, it patently
obvious that the Dallas police DID send the palm print (smudge) to the
FBI on the night of the murder. All of the officials (DPD and FBI )
LIED through their teeth....about that so called palm print. The DPD
did in fact send what Lt Day thought was a palm print to the FBI at
midnight on 11 /22 /63 and Sabastian Latona of the FBI lab did in fact
examine that smudge on 11 /23/ 63, and he filed a report that said
that the smudge was useless for identification purposes.

When it became obvious that they could not show that Lee Oswald had
ever handled that gun they make up a ridiculous lie that Lt Day had
found CE 637 on the 5/8" diameter metal barrel of the rifle. The
evidence list exposes their lie.....

Well, I'd have to dig through thousands of files to find the best copies
of both originals. In the meantime I'll try scanning in the two versions
from Cover-up and ask a GIF expert on another forum to create a fade in
fade out GIF or flip back and forth version with the space bar. I don't
have the software to it on Windows 7 64-bit.

The link that Squinty Magoo provided takes you to the DPD archives I
believe.... I think that's where Squinty found the original unaltered
evidence list. .... And the altered copy is one of the items in CE
2003. Which is in Volume 24. I don't remember what volume CE 637 is
in.
