I have just put together a WWW-page for Hong Kong movies!

The info available at the moment is:
* latest version of my HK FAQ
* HK box office reports
* Brad Daniel's movie list
* A couple of scanned pictures and video covers
* links to the ftp-site at funet
* this newsgroup

If you've got a WWW-browser such as Mosaic (and you really
should!) the address is:

http://link.mdstud.chalmers.se:8080/~md2holle/hk.html

I hope to expand the page considerably; for instance I
hope to be able to make Timo Rautiala's HK database
avaialble for browsing through WWW.

And yeah, the address is in my .sig as well. :-)

Make that a double ignorance, what the heck is HTTP and all these things
you are talking about, and how do I use it to view this "WWW page"?

WWW stands for World Wide Web in NCSA Mosaic. It's a interactive
program where you can look at cool stuffs. I only know the Mac version.
I don't know if something existed for PC.

Yeah, but somehow when I logged on to one of the Web client at U. Michigan, i either don't
know how to get the URL link to http://link.mdstud.chalmers.se:8080/~md2holle/hk.html . It said
it doesn't allow the link (i pressed g to established the link to the above http). Unless someone
know I did something wrong, please post comments...

Well, if you go to open URL (Under File "Open URL %U " and typed the
whole thing (hhtp://link...) and this did not let you in then maybe your
server did not connect to everywhere because it worked fine where I
access it (berkeley :-) ) BTW, check your spelling too... hhtp:// is like
typing ftp in unix.

Anyway, if it doesn't work then, I don't really know!!!

I was able to access the WWW page (I'm using w3/emacs). And I think it's
great!!!

There is a newsgroup, comp.infosystems.www, where one could probably find a
FAQ about WWW, including where to get a browser and stuff like that.
(That's what I did.)

Hey Lars,
Did you inform the others that you moved the list?
The New URL: http://www.mdstud.chalmers.se/hkmovie/
To avoid typo's on a Mac, just cut and paste the URL to open URL....

Hope that help.

P.S. Thanks Lars for keeping an archive of my Variety HK Box Office posts....
If you missed any, check it out there!

-----Calm down, I KNOW the new Variety is out, I just haven't got around to posting the NEW Box Office results.....A taste of what's coming: Jet Li is BACK!
