Excuse me, what's that supposed to be?

Hmmm, yeah, but his previous much, much wider post of the Enterprise from
a couple of days ago came through intact. Strange, huh?

Actually, I was having a hard time with it to. The "..." strings got
converted to an ellipse ("…"), which is one third the width. I posted
into a text editor, did a search and replace, and saw a bird being
flipped my way ;-)

Ha, most interesting explanation, thanks!
Tried your approach and saw nothing like a bird, more like a fist and
finger (which would be in line with the Enterprise), but not clearly so
either. Strange indeed.

"Flipping the bird" is a euphemism for giving someone the finger, so
indeed we saw the same image.

ASCII art needs to be rendered in fixed pitch fonts. TheZaldan used a
variable pitched font and tried to correct it by adding leading
periods.

Here is what it would look like using a fixed pitch font:

/´¯/)
/¯../
/…. /
/´¯/’…’/´¯¯`·¸
/’/…/…./……./¨¯\
(‘(…´…´…. ¯~/’…’)
\……………..’…../
\………. _.·´

Thanks, pretty damn decent, now, can you tell us how to use fixed-
pitch fonts, for another (rel.) easy to find reference?

...Also, I figured more unique formatting (cont.) and subtle jokes,
and creativity would really help out here, and it succeeded in
bringing preservation for obscure stuff, plus, it was at least kick-
ass.

Not quite a euphemism, it's not Politically Correct, and in fact,
often goes Against Political Correctness.

Well, cool Star Trek picture. Might take and modify back to a regular
