I know...
what to replace it with though? speaking in different languages seems to
be becoming increasingly popular to bogey the l33ters, who have a good
scream about not being able to understand anything :)
And you can get a terrific response by slotting their name into a sentence
in another language XD
Apparently it's now defined as a 'local' dialect, so I suppose it's going
to stick around for a while.

As for "OUTDATED shit", try Manx Gaelic... the last native speaker died in
1974 and it still gets taught in schools.

<yawn>
<nyup nyup nyup>

Hey, I know, invent a new 'dialect' for us.

Have fun

l33t is to hackers as coughing is to a the conductor of a symphony. l33t
was invented by a couple of teenagers making repeated typos, and then
fiddling it a bit so they could call it purpose instead of accident. It
never made it very far out of chat rooms and online games, and seems to be
dying.
Hacking is an art.

you still find it around, chat sites, Q3 games, etc etc. I find it
annoying and tend to follow up with a conversation in a different language
to piss them off :)

I tried that once. It's quite hard to do, I never seem to be able to get a
connection to the mainframe. And the coding's all crock.
No, not that mainframe, that's the ground (sic) - bit like double
insulation :)

Argh... just out of one exam, back in in an hour - someone learn ESP quick

> Hey, I know, invent a new 'dialect' for us.

Ascii-art is already an universial language .. OK some people can't abstract
from the text and see the image it creates , but most people should be able
to see the images.

hehehe... I never got taught it, I was in the wrong country :) I can make
out some of the sense of it with the god-knows-how-many languages I've
been taught, but not properly.

I certainly agree with you on the ascii-art, it's great and you can 'read'
it whichever you're country you're from

This is very cool - as a boatie myself and also at Cambridge, the @s do
look like puddles. Unfortunately I'm not rowing in the bumps, but am I
DU-ing, so I'll watch out for you on the river - which Cauis crew?
Good luck, except if you are against any crews from my own college

We're always cheering on DCBC W1 as well, but iirc our men are chasing
yours, and we're dying to find out what's going to happen there.

Lol! probably quite hard to find something identifiable as a griffin in
there, but it might be an idea to try a griffin - anyone? There's sure to
be a clear picture of it on a website somewhere, and could be quite good
in a sig.
