Unreal Awakening

Like in a television
commercial
where flowers bloom
and everyone sings
a merry melody.

Picnics on green grasses
while others die
on red desert sands.

Government scandals
church-goers in sandals
cover the smell
with Indian incense
look away from
the chaos.

Big brass monkey
smiling from the pulpit.
